Poor Quality from SmartWool

Upon opening these socks, I thought they felt thinner than when I have come to expect from Smartwool and are certainly not "winter-worthy." Just in pulling them on my finger went right through the sock leaving a hole before the I'd manged to get them both on my feet.

So warm and love the pattern and texture! I haven't had a problem with durability yet, but I'll update if I encounter any of the heel problems mentioned below. So far, so good!

Nice winter socks

I bought this for my wife, and these are her thoughts. I have several of these popcorn cable socks. They are very thick and warm with great color combinations. However, even though I always wear the socks with slippers or shoes (no stockinged feet), the heels always wear out much faster than the rest of the sock - which remain in pristine condition. I can’t bring myself to throw out socks with just a hole in the heel, and am accumulating quite a few in the rag bag. I wish SmartWool could recycle these or reinforce the heel somehow.

These are the best! I definitely want to get more pairs. They are a great height for wearing with all of your winter boots, they are warm enough for your out and about errands in the winter (but not too warm), super soft and have such a nostalgic feel to them. You'll want to show these off the next time you take your shoes off just because of how cute they are!

I love Smartwool socks and these are no exception. In fact they are exceptional in their design and patterning. However, the Smartwool designers must not be knitters. There’s not a single cable on this sock!! It’s more like a brioche stitch... With knitting a growing hobby trend, Smartwool might want to pay attention to the names on their knitwear!!! :)

I LOVE these socks. They are the cutest ones I own! I have given these as gifts as well as have them myself! My mom and grandma love theirs and feel like they go with pretty much everything. I wear mine with my birkenstocks or short boots and they always looks super cute. I have the Lochness Heather and they are super cute!

These are a little thicker than other Smartwool casual socks I have, which makes them nice for wearing with boots. The waffle texture helps trap warmth, too!

I got these for my mom and she is raving about them! I am a fan of Smartwool socks, and now she is too! She said she wore them for a week and they barely smelled! That is gross but impressive! Anyway they are soft and warm and apparently keep your feet smelling fresh.

Socks or no socks that is the question. Lounging around after a day of skiing in these puppies has forever changed the way I view my relationship with socks. No longer are the days of sweaty, clammy feet or no socks at all. The Merino wool wicks away any moisture and keeps my feet cozy- without overheating. Never did I think I'd see the day when I'd actually sleep in a pair of wool socks (GASP!) But I have in these! The quality of the Merino wool in these socks is insane- I've had no itchiness or redness while wearing.

Got these smartwool socks for my girlfriend for Christmas and she loves them! She wears them all the time, and always says how warm and comfortable they are. She also really likes the pattern on them. Overall, smartwool makes such great socks and these smartwool popcorn socks are great for anyone looking for a nice warm winter sock that isn't too thick.

A really cool knit sock, with sort of a heritage-y feel to it with a really nice texture / pattern. It has a bit thicker weight to it much like an old-school yarn knitted sock. Casual style but definitely seems like they will be really warm.
