    Compression all the way

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I gave this as a gift and this is what they had to say, "for the first time skiing yesterday and they were so great. Helped my feet feel better and I didn’t have any calf soreness like I usually get. The Compression sock is the way to go. I am a size 10 shoe or 27.5 ski boot and the Large fit great. Foot stayed warm the entire time too."

    Great sock

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have purchased a couple pairs of these socks over the years and I will continue to purchase them. They are tight and a bit of work to put on or take off, but they don't move around or crease/fold in ski boots. These socks are thin but not too thin (not shear), so they give a nice fit in a tighter fitting boot. If you are looking for soft, super warm, easy to put on socks, then these aren't for you. Does the compression aspect do anything? I have no clue. If you think compression is great then these socks are for you.

    Very Comfortable and Soft

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only worn these socks a couple of times, after long days at work, I can definitely feel the compression running through my lower legs. They fit nicely and the material is very soft and comfortable as with most Smartwool. I like that so far they stay up on my legs while I'm moving around, as a person with good sized calves this has been a problem in the past with other high socks. When I have used them more I will add more feedback.

    Great for Travel

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these socks as a gift for my mom. She was going on a trip overseas and wanted some compression socks for the 9-hour flight. They were not too hot and the compression felt just right. Much nicer than a pair of medical compression socks!

    Circulation is Good

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Once you go with compression ski socks, you'll never go back. It is definitely worth the price- you can tell the difference in circulation both while skiing and afterwards. Since they are so tight & supportive, it also feels reallllly good to take them off after a long day! They fit true to size, and are ultralight so there's no additional bulk to squeeze into your boot. Very durable as well- though I would recommend air drying them for longevity.

    Compression is where it's at!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these for my boyfriend, below is his feedback:
"I love skiing in compression socks. They provide warmth by creating more circulation in the feet. They also make my ski boots more comfortable by not adding more bulk. I use these at the resort as well as touring.

    Great for All-Day Use

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these as a gift for father who spends all day on his feet, sometimes up to 12 hours, with many miles of walking. He says he can really tell the difference in wearing these versus normal socks or something without compression. He also likes them for hikes and during exercise.

Best socks for Standing all Day!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I work in surgery and stand for up to 8hrs at a time. These socks prevent my feet and calf's from getting sore at the end of the day. The wool keeps me warm in the cold OR, yet my feet breath!!! Well worth the purchase.

    Nice and tight

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I work in surgery and stand all day. These are a perfect fit for me. They are nice and tight and the tightness lasts all day.

Um.. why did I wait so long!?

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 150lbs

I've always been a skeptic about compression and if it works or just a gimmick. But I still wanted to buy these to see for myself. I'm glad I did! I instantly felt a little more support, but throughout my whole day in 22 degree weather, my feet stayed incredibly warm. I didn't lose sensation, I didn't have to stop to warm up the toes. It was really nice. And the next day I didn't feel as much fatigue in my feet that I sometimes can. Of course now I was to scoop up like 5 more pairs! I have a size 8 shoe and the mediums fit me perfectly!
