From backcountry tours to wintry open-plain runs, the Merino Sport 250 Wind Bottom cuts the chill. As numbing gusts try to slice through us, we push on armored by the windproof front panel. The woolly blend feels buttery against our skin as it keeps our muscles primed, while the smooth seaming minimizes chafe. Built with grit-testing movement in mind, this baselayer boasts body-mapped panels that let our vapor escape, making sure we don't overheat or get sweat-logged.

Stay Away
Cheaply made, had to return because the stitching came loose after putting them on for the first time (I'm a slim guy...) the sport fabric that is in the groin area is noisy when you walk and feels weird.

Well worth the money.
I live in NW Wisconsin where winter is cold. Purchased these for everything from ice fishing, cross country skiing and sitting on a snowmobile grooming ski trails. So hi and low activity levels in the cold. These are amazing at handling high activity levels and sweating to cool down. They are warm and really do transfer moisture away from the skin. Way more adaptable than my old synthetic layers. Worth the investment. #sweepstakes.

Terrific merino wool products
I am a little older now and do not like being cold or damp. Merino eliminates both and keeps me comfortably warm.

Protected where it counts!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really takes the edge off on those chilly days! When working up a sweat in cold weather it's always hard to find the right balance between overdressed and comfortable. I've found this base layer is great for days where I'm very active, but want to keep all the parts from icing up. That little wind block is great! #SmartWoolLove

Nice variation on the classic 250 baselayer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All the standard comfort you'd expect out of the classic merino 250 baselayer but with some strategic differences. The area in front of your junk is windbreaker and the panel behind your bum is more porous to promote breathability. It's a small difference but felt much more pleasant on some chilly morning runs and totally expect it it be beneficial with high speed turns on snow. I'd choose this over the classic baselayer almost every time.
