Nice, but zipper is not for thick necks
Overall this product is great. From a warmth perspective and feel it does an awesome job. The only draw back is that I have a large neck and the zippered collar is not designed for someone like me. I think for 95% of the guys out there this would be great.

Where are the thumb loops?
Daily wear in winter and cool weather, Adventure top for hiking, day trekking, back pack packing. I have one of these from last year. I spent the winter rotating through it and a pair of 250's. Easy to throw on a top to shed the weather and go out in the cold, snow and cross-country, hike or snowshoe. I used it for a week of fall hiking in the Utah desert. I bought this so I would have two to rotate through on car camps and I like the lighter weight. I REALLY miss the THUMB LOOPS. If you are going to make a SPORT top and a cold weather layer, put THUMB LOOPS on it.

Nicely made, fits well (at one size up)
I am 6'1" and lean. I usually buy the size noted for 38" chest. But I saw another reviewer's note about the size chart being off for this shirt, so I opted for the Medium instead of Small. The medium fits quite well. Otherwise the garment seems like other nicely made merino tops. The flap that rests perfectly flat over the zipper is a nice touch.
