The Smartwool Men's Merino 150 1/4-Zip Baselayer can be worn layered under a light fleece during sunny spring ski tours or on its own during summer hikes. The lightweight merino wool fabric effectively manages moisture from sweat and is breathable enough to prevent overheating when the temperature is well above freezing. Increasing the overall durability of the shirt, Smartwool wrapped merino wool around a nylon core for the best of both worlds.

The SW 150 feels nice and is just ok. It is tighter in the chest for some reason compared to the 250, which fits perfectly. If I were to get a larger SW 150, everything else would be too big, so it's a frustrating, inconsistent fit.

Perfect Mid Layer

Bought this for a light mid layer while snowboarding. So far, after 6 days it will be my new go to for warmer weather. My only minor complaint, after 3 days in colder weather I wore this under a mid weight vest while on the slopes. For some reason there has been minor pilling on the back portion near my shoulder blades. Don?t foresee this causing performance issues, strictly cosmetic.
