Whyyyy?? Such questionable design

The front of this shirt is great. Nice color, cute style, great material. The back... is atrocious. Awful fabric, stupid design. If the back matched the front if this shirt, I'd want it in multiple colors. Instead, I'm paying to send back this disaster of a shirt (since Backcountry doesn't have free returns). I love Smartwool "everyday exploration" shirts from a past season and really wanted to like this, but they (inexplicably) made some really awful design and fabric choices on this one. Boo. FWIW, I wear a M in smartwool base layers and S in smartwool everyday exploration styles. S would have been correct in this style... If the back wasn't so bad.

Like the idea but won?t be keeping it

Familiarity:: I returned this product before using it

I like the idea of this shirt, and the cut as well. But the fabric in the back is sort of stiff like a dress shirt so it was super wrinkly when it arrived and didn?t really drape in a good way. I?m sure It will look nice if you iron it but that is definitely not what I wanted out of this shirt so I?ll be retuning it. Would be nice if the front fabric was the same all the way through or the back fabric was softer. The fit is fairly loose but it seems intended and looks nice fr the front regardless.
