    Sound quality is great, but...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these as a present a couple of years ago, and I still use them today. They definitely are durable. The music sounds very good and is very clear, but the only issue that I have with them are the ear part. After wearing them for a while, they start to hurt my ears. I don't know why, as they appear pretty comfortable, but they just hurt after a period of time. Now I usually don't listen to music for long enough for them to hurt, (30+ min) but if I watch a movie with them I will have to take breaks or just endure it. But overall, I love them, and will definitely buy another pair once mine finally stop working (which doesn't appear to be any time soon).

I know this is an old review. But since they didn't say whether the headphones hurt his entire ear or just put pressure on a certain area that made them hurt, etc... I know from wearing glasses that we have glands directly behind our ears. They never bother most people, but there are others, like myself, that cannot take anything pushing on them without eventually getting a migraine.

    Broke after 1 hour

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was really liking the sound and fit of these, and then about an hour into wearing them the right side stopped producing sound. Pretty bummed about this! Working with their warranty now.

    Bargin deal But adiophiles beware

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For the price you're paying you cant go wrong however these are not for the audiophile looking for the crispest and cleanest quality sound on the market. The are comfortable for a few hours but they do get uncomfortable after long hours of use. The bass is decent but by no means the best in the market. The mic is actually really good on these though and the cord quality is top notch. Dont get these if you're looking for beats by Dre quality but for sure go this route if you want the most bang for your buck

    Great for what you pay

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For budget headphones, I have no complaints. Great sound, excellent sound dampening from outside sources, and don't pinch my ears like some over the ear headphones I have. I also have big ears, thanks for those genes Grandpa.

There are a few things that could be improved however. The fit is a bit clunky, which I attribute to the fact that the ear pieces can't swivel to get just the right angle on your head. The cord is long enough that if you are listening to your Ipod, or Zune if you are that cool, you are fine. I use them at my desk, and they work great right until I lean back to grab something and knock over my CPU. Luckily though, the cord seems to be a normal audio jack and not some specialty fancy shennaigans, so you could swing down to Best Buy and pick up a longer one if you so desire.

Breaks down to GREAT bang for your buck. If I pick up someone's $300 set of headphones (that aren't Beats because those things are useless crap) you can tell the difference and get a bit jealous. Then you remember you paid about 15% of what they did, so their set should be better. I wouldn't edit video, or tune audio with these, but damn if CCR doesn't sound great out of 'em.

    good stuff

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

they aren't $300 headphones, but these still pack a punch.

The mic is nice and the clarity is great. I can't wear these on a 6hr West Coast to East Coast flight, but I can squeeze 2 to 3 hours at a time with these on.

Good Bass, Cheap, a Bit Uncomfortable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Listen, these are super cheap. That's the bottom line. The base is pretty darn good....almost too good. Sometimes I lose some of the higher pitched sounds because these are dialed into the base, but again, they are cheap. They're pretty sturdy, and they have a microphone which I've used for multiple phone calls.

They only negative about this pair is that after a while, they do start to hurt my ears..............but again for the price, I'm not complain'n.

    Bang for your buck!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really like the look of these headphones, and I especially like the price!! I sit at a desk most of the day, so I wanted headphones that would be comfortable sitting over my ears all day. These didn't disappoint! They never hurt my ears, and the sound quality is great. My only complaint is when they're not over your ears.. you can easily hear what you're listening to. So when I have to take these off to talk to someone, I usually have to mute my music so it's not distracting.

    Great Price

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These headphones are affordable and great for the price. The sound quality is good with a better base than expected. The round shape fits nicely around the ears, and the microphone feature is pretty cool with a crispy clean sound for speaker and listener (I tested them out to make sure the sound quality was good for the receiving end). I would recommend these headphones to a friend!

    I don't hate 'em

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These headphones deliver a pretty decent sound. The only thing I was a little let down by, was the amount of bass. But honestly at this price point, you really can't expect any headphones to blow your brains with bass. These are comfy, they look super snazzy. All in all, thumbs up.

    I dig it

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These headphones are pretty bad a** they have a perfect amount of bass. I can totally see why the are called Skull Candy, They are literately a delicious treat for my dome. Plus for the price you cant beat it. These would be good for working in the office to getting weird looks from people on the chair lift.

    Seem to do the job

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

They won't win any awards for sound quality, and they don't pack down as small as some other folding models, but they're an OK pair to keep at work to help you stay focused.

    Toxic Tune/ Black/Magenta

Great design, it's comfortable, and the sound is very good! Totally recommend it!

By the way, I love the idea that the cable can be detached! This way it won't get damage and if by any means it happens, it can be easily changed!

      Happy so far,...

I just got these a few days ago. Fairly happy with sound quality, not sure on durability, but SkullCandy will take of you if anything goes wrong or you don't like them. I really have little to lose. With the exception of the SkullCandy Low Rider, I have been happy with the products in general.

        Killer stuff from hell

Got the Hesh 2 at the door today after the free 2 day shipping... these things rock and cut out a crap load of extra noise from the family. While the inline volume control would be cool, the mic is better because I will have these plugged into my phone, computer, ipad, etc all the time. Confortable on the ears... killer look (I go the Lurker Toxic). While there is no noise cancel feature on this, they do the job anyway. In short, love these f'ers.

SKDY Ditched the volume control and added a mic

I used to have the older version of the Hesh that had the inline volume control and I loved that at work. after 2 of using the Hesh for 8 hours a day 5 days a week one of the speakers died. No problem with the lifetime warranty! I sent them back to Skullcandy and they replaced them with the most updated version! I was a little dissapointed that they got rid of the inline volume control and replaced it with a mic, but the sound is still great and these are still my go to headphones for bumpin' Dubstep at work all day!
