I will own many more of these. Love! The fit, feel, look! The fabric, prints, awesome. They do have warmer, thicker models, but for ski touring, skate skiing, walking the dog, etc, this hat is 100% perfect for me . I could say more but read Hannah's review below, says it all even better :)

Versatile Hat for winter

This is a great hat because it can be worn on its own when I am out snowshoeing or it can be worn under my helmet when I am skiing. The outside is weather resistant and the inside is soft and comfortable. It is everything you could ask for in a hat.

this is such a great company- i'm glad backcountry is carrying them now. These hats are made in Vermont and are an awesome upgrade from the scratchy wool hats of yore! The Nordic hats are unlined, Alpine are lined with a soft material on the inside. They're both breathable and have awesome designs. My favorite so far has been the Tealy Dan. Great for all around winter wear.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother and she absolutely loves it. She says it' s versatility is amazing. She wears in underneath her helmet and also casually as an Apres item. Great gift!

Oh this little hat is something magic. Maybe it's that they're made in the Vermont air, strengthened by the smell of maple syrup boiling away in sugar shacks nearby, maybe it's the stunning floral pattern that says, "I can go ANYTHING!" maybe it's the fit that feels perfect no matter your head shape (kind of like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants thing, but with noggins)...you get my point. This hat is amazing. Get it for yourself, get it for your friends, your enemies as an appeasement, your mentors as a thank you, your bfs, your gfs. I wear mine mostly for nordic skiing (as the name may suggest), as well as super cold days running, when a head band just won't do. It fits well in a pocket for when the weather heats up, but retains its shape and stretch over months of use. If I could give this thing 10 stars, I would.

Yo Backcountry! Carry the men's Skida stuff too. Their nordic weight hats are perfect, but I'm not a fan of pastel flowers.
