My 2nd pair of these. Won't be my last. Great in fringe seasons and even sunny winter days.

These gloves are a total hand saver. Handling fish with extremely sharp gill plates becomes much easier on your hands and makes it easier on the fish. Releasing much stronger and livelier fish. Great for preventing sun damage to the back of your hand, also.

Good and bad

Great glove for flats fishing large species.. They don't last very long though. I get about 13-15 tropical days out of a pair and then they are falling apart. Great while they last though. Wish simms would use better stitching... :(

poor quality

Stitching started to come apparat after one day of use.

Good fit, stripping guard material needs improvement.

The gloves have a nice fit and I was very excited to use them. However, I have only used them in 3 fishing days and the striping guard part of the glove is already worn out and the material has a hole in it in that portion of the glove. I thought it would’ve lasted longer. The grip the glove provides works well on a rod that has a synthetic golf grip handle but feels insecure on a cork handle unless there is moisture on the glove. I thought I may have the rod fly out of my hand the first time I tried it with a rod that has a cork handle. That said, I do like how the glove fits my hand but I was disappointed about how quickly the stripping guard wore out. I thought that may happen over the course of a season but not in 3 outings.

Excellent for BWCA Trips

They survived well during a weeklong BWCA trip, even keeping mosquitoes at bay at camp. No sunburn, no paddling blisters, and I kept cool - would buy again!

sad about the stitching but HAPPY about the quality customer service

I opened the package and was stoked. There was leather and leather reinforcements in all the places where I've worm gloves like these out in the past. I put the right to work. It was disappointed how quickly some stitching started blowout. After 5 days of use the leather palm and the were coming apart where some stitches were not holding. I fully get this is a challenging marriage of lightweight stretchy nylon and a supple but durable leather. I was disappointed. I bumped up my rating because online customer service was great! I was able to start an exchange online, got printed a shipping label and now how my return going back and the replacement pair headed my way at the same time. If everything goes well, I'll have these guide gloves in hand as I head on a multi-day trip. If my hands are happy, I think the folks in the boat get a better experience. Thanks

Poling skiffs

Great gloves for poling my skiff. The only downside, however I'm on the water 250 days a year, is that the saltwater breaks them down after a month or so. For the amount of use they get, and how nice they look, I give them a thumbs up!
