    Where'd those nippers go?

Well, if you have the Simms Retractor then they're securely fastened to your waders or pack. If you don't, then they're probably rolling down the river.

    Retractor Beam

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The retractor is a must-have if you are good at losing small fishing accessories. Even if you aren't a master loser, clipping your nippers to the retractor is incredibly convenient. Now that I know the joys and convenience of the retractor, I will never fish without one again.

An Attachment I haven't Lost Yet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like this more than your average retractor. It feels sturdy and it actually doesn't come unpinned after a few hours. My only complaint would be that my forceps are a little on the heavy side and sometimes they pull the cord out, but hey at least I haven't lost them yet!

    Great Design

This retractor works extremely well on my Fishpond Buckhorn sling pack. If you buy a nice pair of nippers and want to keep them around, spend the $10. It's much better than the cheap retractors you see in a jar on the counter at every fly shop.

    Too fancy

I was excited to grab one of these since price is comparable to the traditional zingers. Loved that the bottom piece locked in place when it was retracted and the no traditional stretchy cord. The needle style clasp on the back broke off within a couple weeks. Terrible idea for attachment method in the first place but then it broke. Cool piece, I'm just rough on everything. I have a friend with one who loves it and going strong from months of use.

      Stop loosing S#!*

Grabbed a couple of these retractors for a new sling. First thing I noticed is how light these are compared to other retractors. If you are using with a Simms pack or waders these fit quite nicely to their attachment points. I have also seen them fit well on the Fishpond packs. My favorite thing about this retractor is the price. These make great stocking stuffers for the trout bum in your family.
