Really disappointed by the design. Simms should know better.
Wasted my money! Sizing is like 2 sizes off. Cannot slip them on when hands are wet. They simply will not slide onto my hands! What's the point of having these gloves if you can't put them on wet cold hands. I steelhead fish in the PacNW with 2 handed rods. When I'm in the water fishing, I do not wear gloves. When I get back in the boat to head to the next run, I relish the thought of putting on some gloves/mittens. Simms, you've really missed the call on this one. Really bad design.

Wintertime Must Have Gloves
These gloves are a must have for wintertime fishing. On my last steelhead outing my hands stayed warm and nimble while swing flies. I was able to strip and hold line easily thanks to these gloves.

A must have for those extreme conditions.
I have never been a big fan of mitts until now. I have been fishing the Madison and the Henry's Fork this week with the high of 20 degrees. The air Temps have made fishing almost impossible. Guides and even the fly line have locked up with ice. My uncovered finger tips could only take a few minutes before it became to uncomfortable to fish. Being able to move my finger into the mitt to warm up saved the day. The design is spot on. The snaps that hold the mitt and the thumb flap back make the glove. Minimal issues with the fly line catching on the flap. The thickness of the glove is comfortable and you don't lose to much feel on the grip. These gloves are well worth it. I will be getting a second pair for when the first pair gets wet. Very pleased.

Comfortable and convenient
These gloves keep the chill off and allow me to fish without getting in the way and I normally hate gloves, I'm glad I purchased them.

I have not worn the mits on the river only on walks so far. Our rivers are frozen. So far i am pleased and have no regrets in buying them. I have used them in the past and have been very satisfied.

I really like them so far. Going to use them on the ice next week! I ordered a size bigger from what the chart described and they fit great.

They are fine as far as they go, would like to see some grip material on palms for rowing or holding fly rod.
