Withstands the day-in and day-out demands of fly fishing.

If you spend more of your waking moments submerged mid-thigh in a river casting out to a sipping fish than anywhere else, then invest in the Simms Men's G3 Guide Stockingfoots Wader. Built with Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric and Gore taped seams, the G3 provides unbelievable waterproof protection and breathability to ensure the ultimate comfort while you fish. Simms' exclusive 5-layer Gore-Tex Pro fabric is found in the seat, waist, and throughout the leg for rugged durability and absolute protection, and there's 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro in the upper part for greater comfort and breathability. Its nylon YKK zippers minimize corrosion and provide high-performing, durable wear for years to come.

Simms also gave the G3 its patented front and back leg seam design which allows for unprecedented amount of mobility and leg articulation in the wader while eliminating seams from the inner leg critical wear zones. The G3 Guide is designed to easily convert to a waist-high wader for versatility in any fishing environment while articulated knees ensure maximum comfort and mobility as you reel in your catch. Adjustable elastic suspenders with opposing buckles and built-in low-profile belt loops also ensure a comfortable, secure, and just-right fit.

Built-in gravel guards feature 2-millimeters of high-density, abrasion-resistant neoprene with stainless steel boot hooks and a reinforced attachment design while anatomically-engineered, hourglass-shaped, 4-millimeter neoprene stockingfeet offer a better, more comfortable fit. To help keep your small essentials readily accessible, Simms incorporated a removable flip-out tippet tender pocket with dual-entry zippers and retractor docking station, a zippered chest pocket, and integrated utility tabs for convenience. In addition, a reach-through hand-warmer pocket with storm flaps and micro-fleece lining furnishes incredible comfort when your fingers are icy cold.

    Very Durable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was a biologist in Oregon for the summer and used my G3 Waders every day for 4 months straight. They held up very well, only a few minor tears, ( self caused climbing over fences and trees) Easily fixed and stayed dry all summer. I have put more miles on these than anyone ever should and they still keep performing. Would recommend to anyone.

    Best Waders on the Market

I have been an avid fly fisher for around 20 years and spend about 50 days a year on the water. I have always bought middle of the road waders that would serve me well for a couple of years before needing replacement. I chose to spend my hobby dollars on fly rods or other equipment and not on a high quality pair of waders. I finally broke down and purchased the G3 waders on the recommendation of a friend and I am extremely pleased. If I had known how good they are I would have purchased a pair years ago. The fit is the best that I have ever had and they are so comfortable I can fish all day and never think about them. I can say that everything about the G3 is excellent. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of G3 waders!

    Superior Product and Service

Received the G3 Guide waders and they were a bit large. Backcountry.com exchanged them very promptly. Why I waited to purchase these for so many years, I don't know. The handmade quality and workmanship is truly impressive. They just fit everywhere. Simms makes a superior product. The online service is really great. My Gearhead is super. I am so happy I chose to purchase them through Backcountry.com.

    Never leave home without it.

Really the best piece of gear I have. Gore made an outstanding product in terms of construction, waterproofness, and even some thermal protection. I have dunked it a few times (for testing purposes), go t completely soaked in it, but still fished all day. Once the water heated up to my core temperature I wasn't shivering anymore. Got home and turned it completely inside out, next morning it was dry and ready to be waded in again.

Knees articulate supurfluously, and there is no obscene buncing anywhere. There is no looseness to it, but hugs the body without compromising movement in the water or on a water craft.

Usually I get set up at home and drive up to 45 mins to my therapy session. It is in fact comfortable for the entire drive. Simply rollover the top down to help thermoregulate.

Must purchase if you are debating any other or have some inferior generic waders.

These waders hold up while others don't

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Put these waders through a lot over the past year + and they have held up through a lot of water and bushwacking. Durable enough to take a beating, but still comfortable and not too bulky. Haven't got wet yet except from above.

Rated 5 stars for a reason.

My buddy Brad doesn't mess around when it comes to swinging some fly's around so we made sure he was set up with some waders to keep up with him. He's some feedback he had to share.

"I must say these are by far the best waders I have ever had. The G3's have a great fit, slim but still have a lot of room to move. As far as pockets and storage go I'm really happy has a spot for everything I need so I can lessen the load on my back. Less is always more. Over all I'm very happy with these waders."

After the material on my old waders completely gave out I decided to take the plunge and buy these bad boys. I wasn't able to find a bad review on these waders, and now I can see why. They fit like actual pants, not baggy and awkward like many of the other waders I've used. I love how thick the bottom section is too, they seem like they'll actually hold up to everything I'm going to put them through.

nothing more need to be said

top of the line Simms quality!!!!! have had them for over 16 years now and been thru "ALOT"! simms always brings them back from the

"SHRED"(twice). AFTER THE LAST 15 YRS. I MAY HAVE TO BREAKDOWN AND GET A NEW PAIR. just cuz I don't fit them like I used too.

would I recommend them-ABSOLUTELY!!!! not a better wader made-world wide.

    My go to Wader

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: L/Reg
    • Height: 6'1"

I have had a few pairs of a few competitors, I have beaten the brush, shrubs thorny bush and nothing holds up with out leaking like these. They have great fit and dexterity in the legs and crotch areas. Comfortable to row in as well. If you want a pair of waders that will hold up to anything you put to them then these are the ONE wader for you.

Guided in these and personally used these waders for the past 3 years, no complaints. From the east coast all the way to the Rockies I have destroyed these waders. Freezing temps, Brier Patches, Rocks, barbed wire fences, you name it I have been through it in these waders.

5 Layer gore tex from the mid thigh below keeps you warm and protected from the elements while letting out all that moisture. I have worn these 365 days a year and couldn't ask for a better set. Flip out chest pocket is awesome with zipper storage for tippets as well as front facing mesh pockets for floatants or whatever you may need.

These fit basically like your favorite pair of jeans, as you are wearing your favorite pair of jeans underneath them. One pair of Wool socks is really all you need to keep them toes warm

    Top Notch

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I picked these up to replace the man's old Cabeler's waders, and boy did I earn some good brownie points. These things are da bomb, SUCH an upgrade! To start, the fit is right on point. From the sizing chart, we went with a Medium and they couldn't be any better. The fit is slim- no poofy pants- without being skin tight so there is room for layering and allowing for easy movement. The Gore is totally bomb- leaktight and still breathable. Took them up to the Green for their first trip and had zero complaints. Paired them with the G3 boots and have a killer setup. Definitely would recommend 'em!

    Best purchase ever

I purchased the G3 about 9 years ago for personal and professional use and they are still holding it down. Dry and warm to this day. Also, I have caused some large damage to them and Simms brings them back to life each time. Compared to the many waders I had before, these are the guide series buy Simms are the only waders I will buy.

    The Best

These waders are so light, i stopped bringing a rod to the river and decided to just run down fish (they're that light). Being fed up with leaky waders, decided to break the bank and spring for these bad Larry's, which has been one of the better decisions i've ever made. Bomb proof, light weight and comfortable these rivers have it all. they'll keep you dry and warm until it's time to wet wade. they don't pinch your skin and dry relatively quick. Bought the mediums and I fit pretty darn well in them, with enough room to fit some good socks, long johns, and a sweatshirt. My experience on the river has changed for the better with these. I am able to stay out longer because i am warm, dry and comfortable. My hats off to Simms, they knocked it out of the park on this one.

For the TN sticks and streams

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These things have proven themselves time and again. Over the last year I have visited over a dozen rivers and streams in all kinds of weather. The main thing is that these things will not leak. Even after some major bushwacking I find it unbelieveable that I have not punctured a hole in it yet. They are some of the burliest waders I have ever had. The full price was a bit much, but the no leak guarantee has proven itself thus far. Go a size up if you wade colder waters and intend on layering.
