poor net pocket design
May be returning it, first off great construction, however getting the net in and out is a night mare and it does not hold a standard net without constantly falling out . poor net design

Looks like a great bag I haven’t really had a chance to use it yet. I bought this to carry stuff while traveling to fishing destinations.

Fish year round. Bag is high qaulity and rugged 100% Reccomend
I fish mostly salt, Gulf of Mexico down to the Keys. The pack is perfect for walking beaches and flats sight fishing. The color is perfect. Blends in with everything and does not conduct heat as much as my previous bag. I 100% reccomend this bag if you are a minimalist and fish in the extreme that require extra clothing and hydration. Holds my H2O rain gear, GPS two 6x4 fly boxes and extra reel, leaders and first aide. The only improvement I would make is to add an adjustment to the top of the shoulder strap so you can adjust exactly where the tool and fly patch go on your chest, but more importantly have the ability to dial in where the second wrap around strap comes around under your arm. I am a big guy and the straps are more than long enough, just wish I could get it to connect a couple inches low. Not a game changer, still comfortable, but it could be improve.

Not Completely Waterproof
NOT completely waterproof. The top pocket will let in water if it gets wet. I use this in the surf and a hit from a wave guarantees water in the top compartment. I contacted customer service and they thanked me for letting them know..

Good bag, but had to make repairs in less then 6 months
Was great up until it started letting water in from the seams where the net pouch and the bag meet. Seems to be a weak point

I used this for bonefishing in the Bahamas. It was perfect light weight, waterproof, and held exactly what I needed. My wife even commented on how well the bag performed while she had it on.

Met All My Expectations
I like it. It's functional, compact, yet roomier than I expected. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. I don't use it as a sling pack (I'm still a vest guy). I wanted a waterproof pack for carrying extra clothing, etc. when fishing in bad weather. Something waterproof that I can leave on the shore while I fish. It's working great for that. If I ever do decide to go the sling route I'm set.

Please stop the insanity! Make a left shoulder bag!
I have to echo the other reviewer regarding the choice of right shoulder carry. C'mon, Simms! People only want a right shoulder sling because they haven't cast with a free shoulder! Since the majority of anglers are righties, you should make a sling for the left shoulder, so we can free our casting arms. Right now, you are sending my business to Orv!s, as they are the only company who makes a left shoulder waterproof sling. I'd much rather purchase from you, but I want one for this season...
