Sweet Suite 3 Tent

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a five-star hotel room, pitch the Sweet Suite 3 Tent by Sierra Designs to enjoy thousands of visible stars splayed in a milky nebula across the high-altitude night sky. This 3-person, 3-season tent provides just the right balance of lightweight carrying efficiency and livable interior space for long backpacking trips and weekends at your favorite state park. It tips the scales at only 4.25 pounds (packed weight) and packs down to only 17 x 6.75 inches, meaning it's easy to carry on the trail, especially when you have a few backpacking companions to distribute the load with.

Sierra Designs achieves a notably lightweight structure with tons of interior room, thanks to their ingenious hub-to-tripod tent geometry. For increased protection at night, toss the rain fly over the all-mesh tent body, then stake it to the ground for an impenetrable shelter from heavy storms, plus two roomy vestibules for all your gear. Because the tent body is entirely made of No-See-Um Mesh, you'll enjoy airy-cool comfort on hot, sticky evenings in summer, plus the ability to see the Milky Way Galaxy in all its glory on clear evenings.

Great tent, mansion for 2

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size
Height
5` 10"
Weight
150 lbs

I got tired of my ul2 that was just too small for comfort. Bought this for my wife and I. Pack weight of 4lbs on the dot, so its a little under spec. I found if it is staked out properly, this tent is solid. There are tons of stake points and guy lines. I used some rocks in one place as I didn't feel like trying to use stakes - and it worked great. I have a double sleeping pad that in the past, I had to blow up outside the tent, then move in and arrange. With this 3p, we can escape the elements or mosquitoes and do all our setup in the tent. If you have ever been to Utah's Uintahs or the north cascades, you will understand why this is important. Also the fabrics are a little more heavy duty than some UL's. So I'm hoping its a bit more durable.

Great Tent in Great Weather

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I used this tent a few days down near Fruita, CO. Tent set up is easy and does not take much. It is not a freestanding tent so does require staking out. Personally I prefer a freestanding tent but that is just personal preference. The tent had plenty of space for 3 people. and the mesh ceiling was great for star gazing and air circulation. Biggest downfalls came with a small amount of wind. The mesh side walls start a bit low so with some blowing sand outside the tent, we soon had sand everywhere on the interior. The rain fly was on and staked out correctly as well. The Wind was coming from the side of the tent and the front corners of the tent collapsed in very easily with 15-20mph winds. I ended up getting out and rotating the entire tent so the wind was coming head on which the poles were a bit more capable of supporting. Overall I did like the layout and space of this tent. But I was a bit surprised at how easily its functionality dropped with a bit of wind.

Awesome Tent

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Camped with 2 friends in Moab in September even with the Rain Fly on the tent never did get too warm inside. There was plenty of room inside for three people and tons of room under the 2 vestibules. The tent comes with plenty of stakes and guy lines to secure multiple ways. In one word this tent is easy, semi open oval pack bag makes it really easy to unpack/ pack and the tent is super easy to set up.
