Meteor Lite 2 Tent

The Meteor has been time-tested among backpackers for years, and the Sierra Designs Meteor Lite 2 Tent touts a reduced weight and packing space for all the gram-counting backpackers out there. It still has a dependable rain fly in 3-season weather, and there's more mesh in the canopy for extra airflow in summer's warmest evenings. Dual doors allow separate access for both you and your backpacking buddy, and a second vestibule separates both of your camping gear, too. This lighter version also features similar prebent poles at the head for extra room. Sierra Designs included its unique storage bag for easier packing and unpacking.

What do you think about this product?

Does this come with the footprint?

The footprint is sold separately, we do not have it in stock but you can get it directly from Sierra Designs

Sierra Design states Meteor Light 2 floor 30d and fly 20d is nylon . Your sites states same tent is 68d polyester. Big difference, curious what's up. Thanks.

Are the vestibule zippers two-way? Can you unzip them from the top for ventilation? What is it like to get in and out of this tent in the rain, is it possible without getting the inside wet?

Hi Courtney, while the specs don't specify, I have yet to see a tent without two-way zippers at this level. I feel confident in that. There is no real overhang protecting the doorway from rain as this is a fairly minimal tent to save weight. However, if you keep half the fly/vestibule staked out and are quick about zipping the fly closed behind you, you should be able to minimize moisture.
