  • Sidi’s proven cross-country shoe gets an efficiency-focused revamp
  • Composite-reinforced carbon sole ensures you get the most from each pedal stroke
  • Three-layer Politex upper maintains top performance throughout the season
  • Replaceable toe lugs are crampon-compatible for less-than-ideal muddy conditions

For comparison I’m spoiled as a roadie, Being used to Shimano S-phyre road shoes which are perfect for me. Recently Added a gravel bike to my addiction and found 3 bolt road shoes are stupid to use on gravel / light trail riding. Unable to justify another 400 for S-Phyre mtb shoes, or even the rx8’s, I grabbed these on sale, hoping I could be happy enough with them. I have narrow feet with med-high arch, sz 45 regular in Shimano. These fit well even as “mega”, allowing some more room for thicker cold weather socks comfortably. They also fit me well with thin socks, not excessively loose as I had worried - not the glove like snug fit im used too but still comfortable. The straps and boa type dial are ok, not as luxurious and easy to use as a full boa system, but remember the price point. Stiffness is ok with the nylon sole- I prefer stiff as possible but can live with these and they do walk off bike pretty well. Only really notice some flex when off the seat peddling, but not enough to use as an excuse for not getting the Kom on strava. Breathability is minimal, but I think a bonus for colder weather riding. I think these are a little bit beefier and robust feeling vs “gravel specific” marketed shoes but I think that will be another advantage in cold weather. overall I’m happy with them for the price. .
