Tecno 3 Push Buckle
Replacing the small, wear-prone parts on your Sidi shoes gives them a whole new lease on life, and Sidi makes the process pretty easy by offering things like the Tecno 3 Push Buckles for a palatable price. If you're wearing shoes from that use the Tecno 3 closure system, keeping one (or more) on hand will help you avoid buying a new pair of shoes in the event that a brush with asphalt tears your current buckles off.

- Q & A
Terrible closure system
Old laces frayed and buckles no longer hold. The rest of the shoe is fine. It is impossible to remove the old techno 3 buckles. There is a microscopic pin that you are supposed to push through but I could not make it budge. Save your money, bite the bullet and buy new shoes-with a different closure system!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The sidi boa system is just not very good. The previous wire shoes locked up so I replaced them. The boa is not smooth though and doesn’t release well. Sidis buckle shoe work so much better.
Great for Sidi Wire upper buckle
- Fit: True to size
When your golden retriever eats your $400 Sidi Wire shoes, these will stop you from bringing her to the pound.
Nice Upgrade for Ergo 4 shoes
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I recently upgraded to a pair of Ergo 4s from Genius 7s, but the stock buckles on the Ergo 4s are a little to fiddly to adjust while on the bike.
Thankfully, the Tecno 3 Push buckles are available and an easy replacement/upgrade for the stock Tecno 3 buckles. Works essentially the same way, but with the addition of a release button right on top of the dial to allow the handle to pop up.
Now I can more easily adjust my shoes on the fly, and I still have the original buckles as spares.
What do I need to order to replace the buckles on a pair of size 47 Wires?
You'll need a set of the shorts for the top buckles, and a set of the longs for the bottom buckle. One set of each will replace all 4 buckles on a pair of shoes.
