    Slick style for the trail.

Bucking the trend of bland-looking trail shoes, the Sidi Men's Spider SRS Shoes feature Technomicro microfiber that's finished with a high-gloss Vernice finish for a stylish appearance.

Optimized for comfort and performance, the shoes use a stiff heel cup to keep your feet firmly in place. Its Soft Instep Closure System comprises a Caliper Buckle two-way ratchet, with two High Security hook-and-loop bottom straps for a precise fit without pressure points. Under the straps, you'll find a thinly padded tongue for a well-bolstered fit without painful hot spots when you're cranking the lacing system nice and tight.

Delivering high levels of energy transfer, the Carbon Composite SRS sole is based off the former Dragon Carbon SRS sole, providing the stiff, responsive feel needed for trail and 'cross riding. Although stiff enough for high levels of energy transfer, the sole won't punish you on long hike-a-bike sections, especially considering the softer rubber lugs for superior traction and sure-footed grip. Moreover, Sidi's Sole Replacement System (SRS) allows you to swap out worn traction lugs when they're toast from hiking over impassable sections of trail.

    Shoe size and fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I have been looking for a cycling shoe to replace an old pair of worn out NIKE shoes which served me well for the last ten years. I was very skeptical about the size of shoes as they vary as to which country they are manufactured. When I decided to go with SiDI, I had friends tell me they would be too narrow and tight. After receiving them, they fit like a charm. I have an (US) 11.5-D foot. I ordered size 46. If you a skeptical like I was, don't be. This is a great shoe.

Second pair of Sidi MTB/Cross shoes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

my last pair of Sidi shoes lasted me over 15 years, with replacement parts and a solid sole I was very happy with my old ones. When I finally was willing to invest (yes these are expensive, but they last) in new shoes, I wanted to go with Sidi again. I have worn these consistently for off road riding this year. They fit better than my old ones and I love the carbon sole. I paired these with my Crank Bros pedals (using the protection plate) and I'm very happy.

I went with another pair of size 44 shoes and I believe they fit true to size. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

I wear an older Sidi model for gravel racing but they don't flex enough for comfort when carrying the bike. (After 3+ miles of carrying in this year's Dirty Kanza, my feet were hurting.). How much flex would you say these soles have? Do they work for long, rocky carries?

    Sidi SRS mtb shoe

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Comfortable, reliable, bright red visible shoe with replaceable soles, reason i purchased. Bought these earlier this year and love the way they catch onto grassy surfaces uneven pavement and even sand. Quick adjustment straps are becoming the standard. Rubberized toe cover also quite helpful during those inadvertent snags and taps onto pavement, trees, walls, very comfortable shoe.

Fantastic shoe for Mtn Biking or CX!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm almost ready to replace the treads for a second time on these shoes if that tells you the extent of my usage (I've been using them for close to 4 years).

Bought these specifically for cyclocross in the Pacific Northwest and they were perfect for it. Haven't been racing cross so much and now live in Richmond, VA but they have been fantastic for local mtn biking and even better up in the Appalachians where there are some steep enough climbs that force you to do a little hiking.

Flexible enough to be comfortable for running over barriers or climbing steep grades but stiff enough where it counts that you don't feel like you are loosing power on the pedals. Great buckle system makes life easy when you're hands are frozen and you need to make a slight adjustment during a ride or after the ride when you just want to get out your shoes. Not built as a cold weather shoe, but with some merino wool socks, your feet will stay long warm enough for a cold, wet 45-60 minute CX race.

The rubber toe covers are a great touch and probably have helped kept my shoes lasting this long.
