the MTB CURVY Short
Yoga pants may make for some of the most comfortable post-ride wear (or, you know, yoga wear, we suppose), but they don't come close to being well equipped for the trail. Conversely, MTB Baggies do a great job of holding up to the demands we have when it comes to having close encounters with overgrown scrub oak, boulders, and holding up to abrasion against the saddle, but despite our best efforts, they just don't possess the same level of comfort as yoga pants. Shredly finds the best of both worlds with the MTB CURVY Short. These shorts offer the structural durability and benefits of a trail short, with abrasion-resistant fabric, a gusseted crotch for mobility, thigh vents, plus deep pockets to stash your riding essentials, and marry them up with a wide yoga waistband for total comfort while we ride. The waistband still packs in a draw cord to prevent the shorts from sliding down as we get our sweat on, so you can enjoy the ride in pure comfort without sacrificing tech.
- Articulated shorts that combine yoga comfort with MTB tech
- Durable recycled fabric holds up to scuffles with rocks and branches
- Soft yoga waistband flex with you for pure comfort on the bike
- Gusseted crotch elevates ease of movement fore and aft
- Invisible zippered thigh vents let you get fresh air on climbs
- Secure thigh pocket stashes your valuable while you ride
- Integrated draw string prevents waistband from slipping

Why haven't more bike brands done an elastic waistband? Stretchy and comfy--these things are the best. I love the side snap pocket, it's perfect for quick access when I have to pull out my phone to take a picture or check trailforks. The material is on the thicker side, but it is stretchy, durable, and breathes well. I like the denim color because it's subdued, but not your basic black. I'll admit that I got these as "maternity" bike shorts to accommodate my growing belly as I rode through my second trimester, but they'll definitely stay in my rotation after having the baby too. I am 5'3" and 135lbs with an athletic build (mass in my butt and legs) and the size 6 fit perfectly,
