It's an immutable law of nature that the weather will turn to garbage as soon as you get on your bike, which is why the Showers Pass Rogue Women's Hooded Jacket is an essential part of every urban rider's kit. With a look that's reminiscent of your favorite hoodie but tech details that are at home when the day gets cold, wet, and windy, the Rogue is a go-to outer layer for riding to work, around town, or even spending a weekend hiking.
The Rogue is made from Artex, a three-layer softshell that keeps wind and rain at bay but allows moisture to move away from your skin, so weather protection doesn't come at the expense of clamminess. Artex is highly flexible for easy movement, and Showers Pass lines the jacket with a soft fleece layer, which adds lightweight insulation, feels great against your skin, and improves the Rogue's moisture-wicking capabilities. The adjustable, helmet-compatible hood and lower back hem provide full coverage at both ends when you're on the bike, while extra-long sleeves' snap cuff tabs and internal wrist gaiters keep rain and cold from creeping up your arms.
Details make the difference between an everyday rain shell and a bike-specific jacket, and the Rogue has plenty of key features. The large zippered rear pocket is almost a given, but the all-around reflective trim and rear light loop are welcome, thoughtful additions. The jacket also features an internal chest pocket with an audio port and two zippered hand pockets for more storage. A hem drawcord finishes the Rogue off, stopping wheel spray from turning your back into a soggy mess.

- Q & A
Well designed, versatile jacket!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
I was given this jacket by theDyrt, a new campground and outdoor product review site, in exchange for my honest review. Fortunately, I can enthusiastically endorse the Women's Rogue Hoodie. I opted for the chili red for maximum visibility, and have tested the reflective trim (rode at dusk and had a friend follow in car using headlights). Both help me feel much safer on the road. The jacket is lightweight, comfortable, and has well-engineered details such as wrist gaiters with thumb loops, longer cut in back for good coverage when riding, and rough zipper pulls that are easy to use while pedaling. The fabric is breathable, yet cuts the wind and repels water, keeping me comfortable and dry while riding on a wet, blustery day. The hood is also a nice feature, since it can be adjusted to fit snugly and not flop around. The fit is trim without being too snug, the material is soft, and the reflective trim is subtle, so the jacket is equally suitable for wearing around town. It's become the jacket I grab for cycling, camping, walking, and going to the pub afterwards. If your build is curvy/ample hipped and you are between sizes, go with the larger of the two.
Brilliant features (and colors:)

Well made jacket. Color is as shown in image (IMO). I love the extra length in back, the chin guard for the zipper, the waterproofness, and wind resistance (I have not actually put these to the test). Also the wrists - there is soft shell protection all the way to the end and then it has a stretch thumb hole section that is brilliant by preventing any drafts. The hood is brilliant as well - it covers your entire head and the reflective properties are in great places and work. Trying on at home this seems to run a bit small. I got a small initially and with just a t-shirt it was a bit constraining when moving my arms around. So I went to a medium. For this, it's good to use any layer you choose, depending on your body temp and weather (light, mid, heavy weight). I plan to use this for walking and daily commuting (via public transportation). I don't believe this is supposed to be a "solo keep me warm jacket". I believe it's part of the "layering system". Hope this helps someone out there :) I highly recommend giving Showers Pass Rogue Hooded Jacket a try and see how you feel about it yourself! Thanks BC for bringing this product on.
