Outside all day as a dog walker; I also ride bicycle to and from clients . Everything I wanted added after my first pair added to the new pair. Pocket! Zipped fly, heat vents. More reflectivity. More material in seat.

Surprisingly Versatile

I bought these for bike commuting. I loved the air vents on the legs and the nice reflective touches on the knees and at the back of the calf. The reinforced butt is good too! What I didn't realize is that these pants would also become my go-to for rainy hiking weather too. They're comfortable when one is biking or hiking (not that I endorse buying bike rain pants for hiking, but if you do both, these will work). I also sometimes use them during the cold temps to keep my legs a little extra warm during longer rides. Only downside is the men's sizing. I wish they made these for women! The men's smallest size is still larger than I would like.

No excuses: time to ride in the rain!

Got these in order to no longer have an excuse not to commute in bad weather, and as luck would have it, we had a few downpours here in NYC after my purchase! I wasn't really sure what size to get, as the measurements suggest that the only difference between an M and a L is the waist (same inseam). I erred on the bigger side, and in retrospect could probably wear a medium, but it's not a major issue. Regardless, they held up perfectly in the few heavy rains we've had. The only thing I'd change with these pants is that I wish the "loop" part of the Velcro ankle straps were longer, in order to make them more secure when cinched up tight.

I've only worn them four times up here in western NY. Always in wind, twice in snow storms and yesterday in 40's and rain. In short, I love them! Totally comfortable in all the nasty conditions I ride in. Yesterday on a 40 mile ride, it started to rain and I smiled! Great piece of equipment. Worth every penny. PS- get the suspenders

Bomb Proof

This is what you wear when it's nastier than nasty, but you've still got to ride. You will not find a more waterproof, windproof, nastyproof pant than this one. There seems to be no amount of rain or wind that will penetrate this sturdy 3 layer construction. Good luck getting wet in these, you're staying warm and dry for the long haul. Along with the absolute shear brute, weather-stopping function, a lineup of functionality awaits. Reflective materials, zippers for easy in-and-outs and hook and loop straps for keeping the pants out of your drive train all over practical on bike function. There's also plenty of ventilation and fabric breath-ability, when your body temperature builds up an inner storm. These pants reminded not of cycling specific gear, but more of backcountry skiing gear from a brand like Arc'teryx. Function, function, function matched with quality construction and a sleek looking design. They're that good!
