Elite 2.1 Jacket
Showers Pass got the Elite 2.0 jacket right the first time, but with a tiny bit of tweaking, the 2.1 version gets it perfect. The fit is now just a bit more refined. The jacket’s new semi-form fit wears comfortably over base layers and jerseys without flapping around.
The Elite 2.1 is made with abrasion-resistant nylon. Sowers Pass relies on a waterproof breathable eVent membrane to keep the weather off your back. eVent is even more breathable than Gore-Tex, which keeps you from feeling moist and clammy inside the shell, even when your pedaling hard. If unmatched breathability isn’t enough, Showers Pass included zippered underarm vents and a large mesh-lined back vent to force cooling air through the jacket. The Elite 2.1 also features a drop tail, chest and back pockets, and reflective trim to make you more visible in traffic.

Always Wet from Sweat
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought this jacket and the matching pants at an industry trade show three years ago, and I find that it is NOT breathable. I get all sweaty after just 1.5 miles. I find it unbearably hot. While it keeps the rain from getting in, it does not let the sweat evaporate. It is OK for around town, but I would never do a training ride in this gear.

Amazing!
This jacket is amazing. Extremely well constructed. True to size based on measurements from size chart. Leaves plenty of room underneath for a layer or two while still holding a female shape. The Rose is gorgeous and is now my favorite riding jacket! You can't go wrong with this product.

Maybe try Gore's ALP-X 2.0 for rain protection next time. I've had no problems with moisture buildup with the appropriate jersey & base layer. The only thing is that it's just a shell, and not warm...layering a must in cooler/cold weather. I went a size up, and can wear it over a regular bike jacket, if necessary. Very good a windbreaking, too; and a great extendable "tail" for wet/muddy rides. I gave it a "B", because I think it could use more pockets...N.B.D. though.
