A Wet-Suit for your Feet

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

I thought it would be more like a dry sack shrunk to mini proportions with some fitting elastic and it would be called a 'sock'. But then there's this coolmax inner lined comfortable foot shield. Like, how? I did a few bike rides in these, and the coolmax liner is definitely necessary since the socks are thicker to give you that water protection and in summer heat (it was about 90 degrees) I was sweating everywhere. I did some canoeing in these, leaving my shoes in my car and dragging a boat into a lake. It's a super cool feeling to walk into water just wearing socks and not get wet. It's like a wet-suit for your feet.

Impressed

I was skeptical, and they do look stiff, and uncomfortable when you first get them. But I have hiked miles and miles in the epic oregon wetness (everyday all year buckets of rain non stop), and now I am not sure I even want to wear regular socks ever again. They don't feel any different than a normal wool sock in the boots. So far i have several washes on them and they are still water proof.

did the job

I got these socks for a cold and wet ride. My first initial impression was not so good. They were stiff and I didn't like the feel of them but decided to use them any way. They turned out to be a great purchase. My feet stayed dry and warm the whole ride.

Why not five stars?

Can CC please update the sizing chart to reflect feet sizes vs. showing chest and hip measurements?
