The long game.
Some shoes have especially deep wells in the soles for housing the threads into which you screw your pedal cleat bolts. Shimano is aware of this, which is why they supply the world with long bolts for use in this case on the cleats for their Dura Ace PD-7810 and Ultegra SL PD-6620 pedals.
Please note that all you're purchasing here are bolts—not cleats as well. If you need replacement cleats, you'll need to purchase those separately. These bolts are 13.5mm in length, and one packet of long bolt hardware is enough for two cleats.
- Long SPD-SL-style bolts for shoes with deep wells
- 13.5mm length clears space alotted to protect anchor threads
- Includes bolts only; does not include cleats or pedals
- Item #SHI0495

- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
After looking at the photo I thought I was purchasing cleats at a good sale price. I had no idea I was just purchasing bolts. Yes I should have read the small print, but help me out here, I don't have time to read on a $5 purchase, use a more appropriate phot.
Thought it was the cleat
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
So for some stupid reason I thought I was buying replacement cleats and bought these which are just the bolts. I should have known by the price and title but I must have been in a hurry and just looked at the picture. Anyway the bolts are fine and they go with a great cleat that I've never had problems with.
