Why We Like The GRX WH-RX570 650b Disc Wheelset
Shimano’s GRX components are all tailor-made for gravel riding performance, and the RX750 wheelset is no exception. Balancing weight and durability, this 650b wheelset delivers the stiffness and control we need when riding over mixed terrain, from dirt to gravel to the ribbon of singletrack.
Like Shimano’s other tried and true wheel offerings, the RX750 also uses an easily serviceable cup and cone bearing system within the steel hub body. The heavier steel at the hub is no penalty for rotational weight and helps extend the durability of the wheelset. The aluminum rim keeps weight in check and is shaped for optimal mud-shedding to help us get through that infamous Oklahoma peanut butter.

Best wheel set for the money

Bought the 650bs. Light, stiff and smooth bearings. For the price they are excellent. Running them on my Specialized Diverge and the setup is prefect for off-road/monstercross. Very pleased with the wheels. My only complaint is the valve stems it comes with do not have a removable core. Overall this was a great purchase!

got these to finish my monster cross build on the cheap but also b/c custom wheels were taking months due to COVID parts shortages worldwide. the wheels arrived two up in a well packaged and sturdy box, with protective plastic bits keeping them perfect during transport. these are good looking, seem well crafted, and not a loose spoke or misaligned bit of rim tape on either. came with tubeless rim tape installed, and decent tubeless valves not installed, a plastic spoke wrench, and spacers for converting to 10 or 12 speed (pretty sure) or just fitting a massive cassette. also came with the owners manual. the tires i have made it on the rims easily enough (using palms only), but Panaracer tubeless rubber is notorious for needing the compression from bike shop air systems in order to seat the first time. these were no different. once seated, they lost air about every 48 hours until fully drenched in sealant. now, am only filling weekly. how do they ride? these are stiff capable wheels that are better than most OEM wheels on bikes costing 1k, with hubs that are comparable to XT level. have taken them on serious single track, massive gravel, and paved roads with no compromise in performance. they have hit some serious boulders and roots but held true thus far. only noticed a slight waiver in rotation of the front recently after 250 miles of rough rides. the rear hub engages quick and is nearly silent while spinning. i was warned by one mechanic not to be surprised if they need overhauled after 500 or so miles in. but that after repacking of bearings, these wheels do not miss a beat. a pro reviewed the wheelset and didn't think think the bearings should have been so bad upon inspection after so few miles. but another mechanic seemed to have a pretty strong endorsement for them to be a solid rim comparable to wheels costing double. so, maybe they're hit or miss, but I have them in both 700 and 650b and they have performed well for the cost.
