Why We Like The Mini-Bomber 2 Bike Rack

Arguably Seasucker's most versatile rack, the Mini-Bomber 2 Bike Rack fits just about any vehicle—from military SUVs to flashy sport cars—and reliably carries two bikes, all without the need for any extra equipment that doesn't already come in the box. Shaped like a stealth bomber, and as tough as one, this fork-mount rack employs four vacuum cups (each rated up to 210-pound pull-strength) that secure themselves to your car's roof, trunk, or back glass in minutes, and without leaving a mark, while the he HDPE body flexes to conform to your car’s curves without sacrificing an iota of strength or durability. In case one goes missing, SeaSucker included a spare mount, along with a five-gram bottle of Lube Tube to keep your vacuum pump well maintained and running smoothly.

Great concept & execution, trust needed

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Seriously, I'm going to use suction cups to hold my $6,000 bike on top of my car? No way! So, I didn't - at first. Instead, I hauled around my 38 lb beach cruiser and hoped for the best. The rack held fast, every time. It has four suction cups, each independently secured, so even if one were to lose suction, you'd still have plenty of hold. The only downside, once you get past the trust issue, is securing your bikes during stops along the road. There's really no way to do so. Perhaps a cable lock through the windows? In any case, be prepared to keep an eye on your bike when you stop.

Seriously Impressive! * ACTUAL USER *

Recently got a new car and didn't want to mount a hitch this time by drilling holes in, and mounting to, the trunk. Thule and Yakima both recommend NOT installing a roof rack on this car. The SeaSucker rack wasn't even on my radar. SO glad I gave it a chance! Initially I was super sketched out, but this thing is legit. I can grab onto it and rock my car back/forth, there is absolutely no budge. I have left it on the car all day and none of the cups ever lose enough suction to compromise the grab, although I'm still freaked out enough that I regularly check it. It does require more time/effort than a fixed rack, but it only takes about a minute to install and about another minute to uninstall. No damage to paint, no permanent marks (obviously should have a clean surface when installing). I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this rack. After actually using it, I am a believer. Usually only carry one bike, whether road bike or mtn bike, but occasionally I do carry two. Time, distance, speed...no problems.
