The road can throw any amount of unpredictable weather and traffic conditions at you in a day, and reacting quickly to what's going on around you is a lot easier if you have a consistent grip on the bars. Lightweight and barely noticeable once you have it on, the Sealskinz Ventoux Classic Glove was designed with a breathable, water-repellent back to protect your hands from road spray and rain, and a textured synthetic palm to provide you with consistent dexterity while you're shifting and braking, especially on hot, humid days.
The glove's anatomically arrayed padding cushions and supports your palms on the days you have to ride through construction zones or rough sections of road, limiting fatigue without inhibiting your freedom of movement. A thoughtfully-placed suede wiper allows you to clean your lenses off on-the-go without risk of damaging them, and reflective accents help you stay visible to other road users.

My Favorite Gloves
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I love these gloves! But if you like a lot of padding in a glove, you won't. My bars have enough padding that heavily padded gloves create uncomfortable pressure points.
The minimal padding on these gloves give me better road feel, especially corning as I feel my tires grip at their limit. I have never had any pinching, bunching or pressure sores from these gloves. I use these gloves exclusively for road biking and this is one piece of kit that is so comfortable, I never think about them while riding.
The material on the back of the gloves feels almost like a second skin while the synthetic palm never feels stiff after countless laundering. The palm side closure helps give the glove a clean, aerodynamic appearance.
Construction is excellent. After almost a year of sweat, clearing road debris from my tires and repeated washing, the stitching is still solid and the palms show little sign of wear.
I hope CC continues to sell these gloves.
Worst gloves ever
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
You are better off wearing no gloves than these. The padding (well there really is none) is so thin it could be non-existent. The gloves are light which I liked but the feel and the padding is simply horrible.
