Packs great, still trying to get pancakes to work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nests well with the others in the series which is great for saving space. Use on a Camp Chef 2 burner stove and haven't been able to get pancakes to work. Bacon and eggs are no problem.

Nonstick

The Non-NONSTICK is terrible for cooking. Everything burns to this raw aluminum hotplate. Sold mine. If it's not nonstick, save some real frustration and leave it t home with this pan.

Backcountry nonstick quality

Everything I cooked on it slipped right off….except eggs. Even with loads of butter. I didn’t expect professional quality cooking in the backcountry but given that they did claim nonstick qualities I was prepared to be amazed but it seems the kryptonite of this beautiful product is eggs. Still some leftover crunchy bits from it I cannot scrub off or I might ruin the pan. The silicone handles do require some time to cool off before handling as well. A feature I also hoped would be a bit better an heat resistance.

Need good flame control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to clean. Need a stove with good flame control as the center is quite a bit hotter than edges. Should use a a stove with wider supports. Nests beautifully with X-Pot. Overall excellent if you are careful with controlling flame.

Quality item, easy to order/receive

I trust Sea to Summit products because of past positive experiences with their customer service and warranty. I bought this pan to add to my car-camping kitchen and so far it seems to be exactly what I wanted.

Good but pay attention while cooking

This pan works very well, but you need to make sure the stove/flames keep under the "pan" cooking surface. It is easy to pack and carry, but worrying about the flames spreading can dampen a little of the joy of camp cooking.

Great Addition to my X-series

I had read reviews prior to purchasing the X-pan and the majority of them were pretty negative and made it seem like it was a waste of money. However, there was one review that stated the pan should be seasoned prior to using it while camping. I used avocado oil to season the skillet on my stove at home prior to using it camping. It worked like a dream and I had no issues of food completely sticking to the pan like others had mentioned. I cooked numerous meals on the pan and when I has bits of onion, garlic, green, or red pepper that had been over-cooked with my breakfast potatoes, it came off by scraping it lightly with a scraper tool once the pan cooled off. My X-pot and X-pot tea kettle nestle perfectly into this X-Pan and I was able to officially switch out our small cast iron pan for this much more practical, lighter in weight, and cleaner X-pan. I recommend that you continue to use an oil that allows for a high burn temp while camping to season in between uses, otherwise things will stick to it. I never washed it with soap and water while camping, just like a cast iron skillet.

I love how this nests

I love how this nests so well with the collapsible pot and bowl set. Its handles stay usable. It seems to really be a well made piece of gear. Cleanup did not seem to difficult, nothing really stuck at dishes time.

So stuck we can't get it clean

We used a lot of oil but still had everything burning and sticking to this pan while camping and have scrubbed it at home but can't get it clean. Another reviewer says it needs to be seasoned. I willl look into that but I wouldn't buy again.
