    Exactly as marketed

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Totally blew away my expectations for a collapsible bowl. Sure it collapses well and is well built, but what I liked most was how easy it was to clean, even when cold and the food residue froze to the bowl. A little hot water and elbow grease and it was clean. Used it for three weeks straight for all three meals and it still looks new. I imagine I'll be using this thing for a long time.

    Awesome! Love it!

This makes for a great compact piece of dishwear for the backcountry! I have one for myself and for my dog. Whether I'm camping or walking in the park with my best friend, I can always find a use for this practical collapsible bowl!

    Ideal For Any Food

This bowl is such a brilliant design and so far has held up very well. I take this on nearly every overnight trip that I go on. I've even been in situations where I have had to use this as a water bowl for my dog. After my girlfriend stealing mine for a month I finally invested in a second bowl for her.

I love all of the collapsible collection. They are durable, easy to clean and come in some fun colors. I bought a set in a few different colors so my family know which ones are theirs. They compact down pretty well too. A bit heavy for backpacking but don't take up much space in my camping box. If cleaned and store properly, they will last a very long time.

    I like the idea

I like the idea of this bowl. I bought it with the intention of using it on backpacking trips but realized I just don't want to dirty another dish... I know I'm lazy .. but as a result the bowl is being relegated to my car camping supplies. The bowl packs down really small, but I think it's a bit pricey for it's newly designated usage. I'd suggest you buy this if space is at a premium, otherwise look for a cheaper option.

On my trips where I am not eating out of a bag, the X-bowl serves me well. I've used it as a cutting board, a bowl and a plate as show in my photo. Portion wise, it provides plenty of room for healthy portions of: hash browns with kielbasa, backcountry chili, early morning DIY granola with milk, outmeal and especially... backcountry tacos! Love this product and recommend it to all of my friends. Paired with an X-mug and you've got yourself a winning combo that's compact and light.

Collapsible is the way to go!

Sea to Summit made some awesome products with their collapsible line. These bowls are pretty awesome! They hold plenty of cereal or whatever else I might find the need to put in there. The bottom is really sturdy and the sides hold up really well. It's nice to be able to collapse the sides and store the bowls in an unobtrusive way.

    Light, small, and cheap

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This little bowl is everything you need and nothing you don't.

I've used mine for years and it's still running strong. I like that it compresses down so small and how light it is.

The only gripes I have with it is that it's not the greatest insulator so anything that's really hot that you cook may burn your hands slightly, but in all fairness a metal bowl would do the same. Also, I've found that it's very difficult to keep clean. I have 2 dogs and for some reason silicone acts like a magnet for their hair so if there's something in my pack with dog hair on it, chances are the bowl will collect it and I'll need to rinse it before using, but I'd suggest doing that anyway as the ridges when it's folded are nice little cavities for dirt to collect.

    Good for Eatin'

Love it. this thing packs down to virtually nothing. can use it as a bowl, cutting board, dog dish, hell even a mug if you're desperate/ need as much coffee as I do. a pretty essential piece of equipment for backpacking. i've yet to have it collapse, which i thought would be a problem. the rubber definitely deteriorates over time, but by then you've gotten more than enough use out of it.

It does the job its intended to do. Works great for mountainhouse meals. Never had an issue with collapsing on me while eating. The bottom of the bowl can be used as a cutting board, but I have never used it for that purpose. Eventually, you might have to worry about the silicone getting ripped overtime. I don't know how long that will take until it fails or if it will fail. I do like how small it collapses down and fits into my pack.

    Multiple use bowl

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Cool little bowl that you can use for whatever you are eating, and if you want to, whatever you are drinking. Having it be collapsible is nice because you dont have to worry about it being awkward in your back or breaking.

I've used this bowl to hold stuff with. It does a pretty good job of it.

But seriously, is an awesome bowl. Oatmeal, soup, pasta, dog's water dish, cereal, hot cocoa, it really is super versatile.

I love the walls of this bowl for two reasons:
    1) It provides insulation between the contents and my hands, so my hands don't get cold or hot (I sounds like a princess...)
    2) I don't need to worry about awkwardly packing a real bowl or the item breaking or cracking while in my pack

    Two spoons up!

Holds food in a small area

What can I say? It works. My solo kit consists, in part, of an XBowl and XMug. Both nest together when collapsed and almost disappear in my pack. If you're not so UL as to rely strictly on aluminum foil or occasionally eat something other than just-add-water meals-in-a-bag, get yourself an XBowl.
