A small sacrifice.

You'll have to ditch the camping comforts if you want to backpack in higher altitudes, but if you're willing to sacrifice some packing space and about thirteen ounces, then Sea to Summit's UltraLight SI Sleeping Pad will make a world of difference. The difference, of course, is enjoying gigantic granite cirques, lush vegetation, and rocky summits with or without a sore back. This self-inflating pad cradles specific areas of contact—hips, shoulders, and more—with Delta Core-V technology to keep your back prime for the climb.

Suits my needs

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
Small
Height:
5' 5"
Weight:
140

I needed an affordable pad to fit inside my sleeping bag for hammock camping on the now and affordable. I'm 5'5" and this went into my small sized mummy bag perfect. Combined with my down fill 20 degree Kelty I stayed warm wearing a base layer at 39 degrees. I had a little of that shoulder/side arm hammock chill but the rest of me was toasty warm. I saw the one star review stating the stuff sack was too small and made it my mission to prove them wrong, because of that I had it rolled so tight it went in the bag with room to spare. So if you actually take the time to roll it right, the stuff sack is perfect. I like to keep my volume as low as possible so I'm pleased with this unit.

Came with security tag

Size Bought:
Small

I wish I can love it, but it came with the security tag. I went to a department to try and get it removed and they couldn't do it. The guy literally said, where was this from and that in California they didn't have that strong of magnets?? So now I am watching countless Youtube videos to figure out how to remove it. I've already made some small holes in the bag trying to break it. Other than this issue, the pad seems great, easy to roll up and perfect for my size. I'm excited to use it for camping.

Score is based on stuff sack

Typical corporation to save pennies rather than make a stuff sack that works. Gave up after 15 minutes.

Small pad mega comfort

I bought this thing for bike touring. My first our out with it was amazing. The first night I stealth camped and ended up in a clearing with tons of thick vines and roots. This thing was so comfortable even on all those roots. The next night, I was in down town buffalo, and could only crash in a friends back yard due to the pandemic. The yard was just fenced in concrete. This pad again did the trick. i could hardly tell i was on cement. The only recommendation i have is to get a dry sack. Sleeve it comes with is great, but i rode 6 hours in a thunderstorm, so some water was able to leak in. Other than that, great purchase.
