Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad
If you're going to be facing some cold nights on your backpacking trip, bring the Sea To Summit Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad to boost warmth without adding weight. Thermalite insulation traps warm air and protects you from the cold ground, and Exkin Platinum thermal technology uses a super thin lightweight metalized layer to reflect heat back to your body. Air Sprung cells evenly distribute pressure so the pad conforms to your body for a comfier feel than traditional baffle construction, and it makes the pad extremely packable. An anti-odor treatment keeps odor at bay, and the tough nylon fabric won't get shredded when you decide to sleep under the stars.
The multi-function valve has a one-way valve to make inflation easier, and it has a button you can press to slowly release air for fine-tuned comfort. The rapid air dump port lets you deflate quickly when you're packing up. It also comes with a stuff sack for convenient storage and a repair kit so you can fix tears in the field.
- An insulated sleeping pad for lightweight backpacking or winter camping
- Metallic layer reflects body heat to keep you warmer
- Nylon stuff sack holds small, packed-down sleeping pad
- Anti-odor finish prevents internal stink
- Beveled design adds comfort even if you sleep on your side
- Item #STS005O

I handled this pad with kid gloves...never inflated or deflated outside of the tent, never touched the ground, never set up the tent on rocks or roots, etc...and it was completely flat the last two nights of a 6 night trip. Now I'm past my 30 day return and am frustrated.

Very good, BUT...
Great pad in terms of weight and comfort. For now, I've used it for about half-year, it's nice to rest on it, nice to sit (using an original adapter). Great overall, if not this: it became infected with fungus, don't even know how (everything else is fine). My other (simpler) pad survived much more and is still totally fine. What can be done to fix it? Don't want to throw it out, and definitely don't want to buy another one so prone to infections. Any help?

That's a user error. They specifically come with air pump sacks so that this doesn't happen.

Light AND Comfortable
This has been one of my favorite sleeping pads. I've used for hammocking as well as ground sleeping and it's been great. I literally have no complaints about it. Also I am over 6' and I fit on it quite comfortably.

Great pad, small packed size!
Easy to use, comfy, tiny pack size. 9/10. (Loses one point b/c it would be perfect if it was one inch wider.) Still 9/10.

Weight and Warmth!
Like most people have stated below me this pad is awesome for being lightweight and packable, while still retaining warmth and being a cold weather pad. I love backpacking in spring and fall, and in the mountains, the ground and either gets cold quickly or takes time to warm up after the long winter. This pad lets me get out on multiday trips in those conditions no problem!

warmth to weight ratio
The warmth to weight ratio on this pad is fantastic. Highly packable, and very comfortable- I don't feel there is anything sacrificed in this pad.

Light and easy!
This pad packs up nice and tight and is not thin like some of my previous pads. Material seems a bit thin but it has never gave me an issue.

Its going to be hard to beat this pad
Wow. Where to start. I am a long distance hiker and I've tried a plethora of gear. This pad is the easiest air pad to fill up and it deflates even faster. Packability is as good as it gets. Very flat when fully deflated, which then you can slide it down the back panel in your pack or roll it up to the size of a nalgene (Why is everything compared to a nalgene? Great marketing tactic.) Not too noisy when turning in the night. The egg crate surface is really comfortable on your back or side. at 5'11'' I find that the XS is quite long covering my full length when in the fetal position. Stretched out its down to my lower calf. Its pretty wide with the minimal taper to it, great for keeping you centered. Sea to Summit utilized the stuff sack and created a inflate system with it that works very well and minimize moisture entering the pad. The only downside is the weight. Though still very light, it is not the lightest. But for all of the other positive features that I believe are far better than the lighter options, its well worth the few ounce penalty for a good night sleep.

Comfortable, lightweight, and warm
This pad is ultralight. It packs down super small for an insulated pad. It is very easy to inflate. It is super comfortable. I use this with the Marmot Never Summer 0 degree down sleeping bag on late fall to early spring backpacking trips. I still have plenty of space in my bag for everything else. It has kept me nice and toasty on some chilly late fall desert nights so far. I'm stoked on it and I would recommend it to anyone.

I've used this pad for about 10 nights. It packs down pretty well and fits well in my pack. it is pretty light and easy to inflate. Jessica is absolutely right further in the reviews. It's nice for a side sleeper and it stayed inflated through the entire night!

This sleeping pad packs down super small and is easy to inflate. It took me about 12 breaths to fill this bad boy up. I didn't feel like I was going to pass out after. I am a side sleeper and was impressed with the air that stayed in my pad throughout the entire night. Highly recommend it!

Love this pad!
I was long overdue for an upgrade from my old pad, which I now keep as a bomber in the truck for sketchy situations. Spent many chilly, fall nights in the BWCA on this pad, paired with my trusty TNF Beeline, Thermolite Reactor and Trekology pillow. Never felt a chill underneath, despite my down bag pretty much having zero loft left in it. Mainly used in my HiLight, but also used it in my hammock and worked great. Valve system is pretty solid and haven't had any issues with it.

Such a nice pad!
This Sea to Summit UL Insulated pad is super nice, and also packs down quite small for being an insulated pad. You can get it down to about the size of a football. Also it performs so well, it's super warm as well as comfortable. I used it up in the Uintas recently on a chilly night in the low 40's and it kept me warm all night! It's very easy to inflate and it blows up on both sizes which gives you a bunch of extra cushioning. Overall awesome pad that I would highly recommend for those chilly nights!

Great ultralight pad for backpacking
The Sea To Summit Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad is a great pad for the price point if you're looking for a super small pad for backpacking. I'm a larger guy at 225 so side sleeping for me isn't the best on it but for someone lighter that wouldn't be an issue. It's R rating of 2.5 means it will keep you warmer but if you are a very cold sleeper you may want to look for other options. Note that other options will be larger and heavier so it's a trade off. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pad to anyone.

The pad is super compact and blows up to a solid level for a side sleeper, it holds air well, and is wicked light. I would definitely recommend it, and its great for hammock camping as well! good price point for great quality item.

Excellent for Cold Hikes
I got this pad following a recommendation by BC gearheads and also after some horrendous winter camping experiences last year (Minnesota 2017). It is incredibly easy to inflateâI was worried it would take more energy than I had to exert a few weeks ago, but maybe about three rounds of the self-inflating pump bag and I was good to go for multiple nights. Itâs a bit of a hassle to pack back down, but thatâs a small compromise when you take into account how comfortable this piece is. Iâm a side-sleeper, and I didnât feel the ground much at all, even moving around during the nights. It stayed inflated, firm, and from what Iâve experienced this far (maybe 10F temps in the fall), it protects again the cold ground. Iâll check back to report wherher it thatâs true for winter ground temps!

Sweet lil pad!
I really liked this sleeping pad! It was super light weight and packs down small for backpacking. Inflating it is very easy and rolling it back up is even easier. It is a mummy shaped pad so it does make it a little hard to toss and turn on it while you are sleeping. My hips weren't sore from sleeping on my side and it kept me warm! Inflating it took little less than a 1 minute and it kept filled throughout the whole night I slept on it. Overall I was stoked on this pad!!!

This pad is rad!
It is very light and packs down to a very small size, fitting in any pack easily. The stuff sack doubles as a air sack to pump up and inflate the pad quickly. I used it in 30 degree F weather and stayed warm and comfortable the whole night. I couldn’t ask for more in a pad!
