Clean your plate without the weight.

The adage 'everything but the kitchen sink' doesn't apply to the lightweight Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Kitchen Sink. Made from Ultra-Sil 30D siliconized CORDURA nylon and reinforced with a stiffer Derlin rim, the Ultra-Sil Kitchen Sink is lightweight but durable enough for life on the trail (and for rubbing elbows with the rest of the gear in your pack).
    • Includes a micro stuff sack to take up minimal space in your pack
    • Stuff sack's seams are fully taped to avoid unwanted leakage
    • Hot water- and detergent-friendly material
    • Derlin stiffener ring will keep the sink from folding in on itself during use, but still packs down easy
    • Reinforced Hypalon carry handles won't give out on your way back from the water source
    • Item #STS0133

Great for backcountry or car camping

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use the Sea to Summit 20L kitchen sink as part of my dish wash system while car camping. It works great. I'm on my 3rd season with it and it's still going strong. Holds water well and doesn't spill or leak. I recommend it highly. It easily fits dishes for a couple and I've used to it wash dishes for up to four people easily with no problems.

This was more frustrating than anything for tent camping with a family of five. It didn’t hold enough water and spilled over easily. I could see where it would be adequate for minimal utensils used when backpacking but definitely not for bigger items.

    A Bit Flimsy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

If this sink is not all the way full with water, it will not hold the walls up adequately. So, make sure you have a ton of water to use as it need be filled to the brim to hold the edges up. That being said, it does work and I successfully wash dishes in it all the time.

Why not throw in the kitchen sink?

    This sink is so awesome!

It was something of a last minute purchase for the John Muir Trail. I figured at 3oz and such a small pack size I couldn't afford not to bring it!

I was right. While there are ways to handle chores without the sink and still practice LNT, this sink makes it so much easier to do both!

If you even think you could use it just go for it! For how light it is, it is super durable and very useful.

    Way too flimsy

I LOVE Sea to Summit gear.... But, this Ultra-Sil Sink just will not hold up it's sides....I tried it out at home before taking it out. Will the regular sink work better? or perhaps the Granit Gear one?? Does anyone have experience with these to give an educateded suggestion? I may hafta return this purchase... Rick

I tried both Sea sinks... They just do not work. The Granite Gear one stands up a lot better. It's a little more bulky and dosnt come with a cool stuff sack but hey, it works....Backcountry was great to work with letting me test all 3 and return the two... Backcountry is GREAT!!!

    Excellent lightweight sink

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this for backpacking but have taken it on all my summer's car camping trips to date. Works great to haul water (especially for campsites without a spigot nearby). Enough water to clean dishes from a full meal. Makes washing easy compared to the swirl and spray method. Only flaw is if you don't fill it up all the way it has trouble holding its shape and water can drain over the rim. Looking forward to taking it backpacking--packs down tiny and is super lightweight.

    perfect little sink

Used this sink for a weekend with seven of us. Packs small enough to fit in my cookware. More stable once it is completly full of water. Would love to see 5 g sink come out.

Packs so small and weighs nothing!

This sink weighs so little but offers so much. This is a no brainer for base camp kitchen duties and hygiene as well as a bowl for your four legged companion. It can be turned inside out and will hold water just the same. When its time to pack it up, dump out the water, give it a few good shakes and its dry. Even large enough to soak your if your feet need some love :)
