Great for backcountry or car camping
I use the Sea to Summit 20L kitchen sink as part of my dish wash system while car camping. It works great. I'm on my 3rd season with it and it's still going strong. Holds water well and doesn't spill or leak. I recommend it highly. It easily fits dishes for a couple and I've used to it wash dishes for up to four people easily with no problems.

Compact enough to always bring

This is a smart addition to any camping trip. Sure, you donât NEED a kitchen sink. Sure, the good-ol-fashioned scrub it with dirt method works. But for something this small and lightweight that clips onto the outside of your pack (and for me, doubles as a dog bowl if I need it to), thereâs just not much of a reason not to have one.

Size of Stuff Sack
The size of the sack for the kitchen sink is about 4x4 inches. Small enough for any backpacking setup!

Need 10L or more
I have used these for dishes as part of a Leave No Trace training and finally pulled the trigger to get a couple for my own camping setup. Unfortunately, I thought I was previously using 5L ones, but they were definitely 10+. I really wanted to keep these as I needed them for a desert camping trip; but had to return as I am not certain what the small 5L would be best for (my camp plates & bowls would not be able to be washed in these). If you only need a small container, this one is still built well, just small.

Thank you for the honest review. I’m sorry you underestimated your camping needs with this size. I’m not sure how the product earned 3 stars. Does the 5 liter size actually hold less than advertised? Or is it that the detentions of the opening is smaller than your set of camping plates where you want to be able to soak all your dishes in this sink?

This is nice to have on hand but not sure how much use it will really get. It's kind of a pain to get back in its pouch.

Sea to summit is GREAT stuff... But, this sink is just to flimsy..the Granite Gear one actually works. Dosent have a kool pouch to carry it in and weighs slightly more. In the end though, the sides stand up better and is more useful. Backcountry is great to exchange....

10L is great for car camping
Holds water well and stays upright so you can clean those dirty dishes. Just big enough for a small group. For larger groups I would definitely get the 20L version.

Best thing for cleaning the camp kitchen
This sink is huge. Great for hauling water from the source to camp and then folding into the size of a small plate afterwards. We used our to wash dishes and then douse the fire at the end of the night.

I use 3-10L to teach"leave no trace"
I was teaching a class for the adults in leadership at the Boy Scouts of America using 3- 10L . For Scouters it's called Wood Badge. All three buckets opened up well, did their job, dried quickly. Yes, these can be a little pricy, but how much can one person spend when it comes to our environment? I'm sorry that many people sent theirs back or didn't like this product. I think these are slowly changing how we do business in the wild or the backyard...remember, "leave no trace."

Not Worth the Price.
I really wanted this work. After trying it out for the first time for camping, it would not hold up properly. I know that some people exchange it and sometimes get a better one. But I just don't see the point in hoping that the next time around, it will work, when it's not exactly a cheap item. I'm looking for something that will be consistently good and worth the money.

wash, rinse, repeat
I am generally more of cook-in-and-eat-out of one container person, but I spent the last holiday glamping with some friends. When you cook three, five course meals a day, you need this. You need two. I thought it worked really well until I took my turn for dishes and some how stabbed the bottom with a knife and totally ruined it. I bought this a replacement, but would consider getting a set if I was doing extended car camping or for a solid base camp kitchen. Just be very very careful!

I picked one of these up at a local retailer as I was heading out of town to go camping. I was in a bit of a hurry and never thought about opening it up to see how it worked prior to continuing on to my destination. Similar to another reviewer the one I purchased just did not work, no matter what I tried the rim was saddle shaped and the sink would not stand up or hold water making me a bit regretful of my purchase. After my trip I stopped at the retailer I purchased the sink at to see if I could exchange it for another. While at the retailer I ended up going through all of their inventory with the assistance of a sales associate and each one was exactly the same with the exception of the last one on the display peg that was clearly older packaging, that one worked correctly. In examining them it was clear that there were differences between the one that worked properly and the newer ones on display. The older one the diameter of the rim was smaller than the rest of the sink and seemed more flexible while the newer ones the diameter of the rim was the same as the rest of the sink and the rim was stiffer. Needless to say the sales associate pulled all of the newer sinks off the shelf to return them to the manufacturer. I'm just glad that they had one that worked as it should because this is a really neat item, the one I now have does exactly what it should and does pack down nice and small. Regarding star ratings I'm giving the one I now have a 5, the 2 dozen I looked at that didn't work would have gotten a 1.

You can actually clean your dishes
I have the 5L and the 20L. The 5 is for solo trips and the 20 is for group trips. It is nice to actually be able to clean all your dishes rather than rinsing them out. They can be a bit of a pain at first but play with them a bit and you will find how to keep them stable

Ideal camping kit
I just love this kitchen sink. It is very sturdy and reliable, folds down really small and weighs next to nothing but when needed, it opens up to 20 litre capacity and makes washing up an absolute cinch. I love this product for reducing the ecological footprint and helping preserve sanctity of water sources.

Bought 2 of these for my grown, camper son. He had reviewed these thoroughly and was sure this was what he wanted. When they arrived, he couldn't get them to stand up even though he filled one completely w/water. The steel cable wouldn't straighten out enough to hold stable. He decided to return them both and try something else. I wanted him to give them an on-the camping-site test but he was afraid that using them would keep him from being able to return them for a refund. So, back they went.

Sea to Summit Kitchen Sink
The Kitchen sink is great for carrying and storing water for cooking, washing up or washing yourself.
