When it’s too hot and buggy to sleep, break out the Adaptor Liner.

In the hot, humid, and buggy corners of the globe, get a cool night's rest when you wrap up outside in the Sea To Summit Coolmax Adaptor Sleeping Bag Liner. When you sleep in this liner by itself, the Coolmax material transfers moisture out away from your body and stretches as you dream about the next day’s travels. The Adaptor also works with your sleeping bag to keep it dry and clean when the temperatures dive. And when the insects are diving and buzzing, the odorless Insect Shield treatment repels mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and fleas for scratch-free nights. The invisible repellent remains effective through six months of exposure to weathering or through 25 washings. The lightweight liner comes with an included stuff sack so you can throw it in your backpack without sacrificing food space.

    SeaToSummit Coolmax Adapt Insect Shield

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This liner offers ready out of the bag insect shield bug repellent!! Also, got this liner to accompany my sleeping bag for added warmth and comfort. I will also use this alone on mid summer nights.

Great for warm weather and bugs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this bag liner before going to Ecuador and it was perfect for sleeping in warm weather and deterring bugs. It runs true to size. I love to take it on most trips I go on. It packs up super small and is light, so it's great to take everywhere.

Awesome liner and works for bugs!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I bought this initially for a 3 week trip to Madagascar knowing that I would be sleeping on questionable bedding with the potential for bed bugs and wanting to supplement mosquito repellant properties of the bed nets. This thing was AMAZING. It was so nice and comfortable, it is very stretchy so I never felt trapped and I never woke up with bug bites.

Now I love taking it camping! It preforms all the same lovely functions (bug repellant and comfy) that it did on my vacation but it has the added bonus it keeps the inside of my sleeping bag clean and makes it feel more like I am sleeping in a bed with a sheet than on the smooth inside of my bag. It is also great for sleeping without a bag on hot nights. 100% happy.

Great by itself and as a liner.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this liner. I got it as a replacement for my worn out liner. I mostly use it to keep my more expensive bags clean on the inside but love using it when it is to hot out, and I don't want to use my bag.

    Clean, like whistle.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My mom picked up one of these because she was worried about sweating in her brand new sleeping bag. After a couple of 35-45 degree nights, she reported feeling warm, comfortable, and clean - she is quite pleased with the liner.
I've grown used to the feeling of sleeping bag material next to my skin but I can't say that I'm overly fond of it. I felt her liner, I'm really impressed with the texture. This liner is thin and very, very soft. I can see this really improving comfort, both on warm and chilly nights.

Where have you been all my life?

Have you ever had one of those nights with annoying mosquitos or gnats buzzing you?

If you have ever slept outside you have. We all have had one of those those nights when that pesky lil sombitch mosquito is buzzing in your ear or you end up with bites all over you by morning.

Not anymore. This thing is awesome.

I tried it and thought it was just going to be a gimmicky claim. Nope, not one pesky sombitch the entire night while sleeping out under the stars on a very humid and still night. I thought I was going to be gazed upon like that fat roasted pig laid out at a Hawaiian luau being eye balled by every blood thirsty blood sucker in the vicinity. Maybe I was? I am delicious. But they sure as hell didn't come anywhere near me. I even tried it the next night and zero problems then too.

If you camp or hike or just like hanging out outside you need to get one of these things.

I am getting a second one for my wife because I have this feeling she will take mine and I will be the feast at the next fat guy luau we would be hosting when out under the stars.

I am also intrigued with using it for travel. The bedbug epidemic is becoming more and more widespread as our lovely friends from China and the rest of the Asian world are traveling more and more. I have heard story after story about people having bed bug issues even at high and higher end hotels. Yay for China. This would be an easy solution for any questionable location.

I am pretty hairy. Though, by Greek or Persian standards I am hairy like one of their women.

I didn't notice leg hairs getting stuck but I could see that being the case if there was any stubble on someones legs.

You know.. The more I think about it I do have rough feet and they do sometimes get stuck to the liner going in and out. So yeah, I see your point.

I would say you either shave really well or go all Eastern European and don't shave months before going camping.

      Au Naturel

This really helps beat the heat. Often times in the summer where I go camping it gets down to maybe 60-70 degrees with very high humidity. I would just sleep in this. I also like using it inside my sleeping bags, because it helps keep skin oils and sweat from getting onto the sleeping bag fabric, requiring me to wash it to keep it clean. Excellent product.

        Good for heat

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I really like this liner. Used it a lot when I was in Central America. Great for use on its own. Good for keeping your sleeping bag clean. This thing is much easier to clean than a bag. The only thing I don't like about this liner is that it snags on your hands and feet when they are rough from hiking around and such all day. Other than that its great.

I call it my body sock

This thing is perfect for warm, humid nights. I bought it for camping in tropical, mosquito-infested areas and it does the job beautifully. I never feel hot or stuffy in it, but its just enough cover that you don't get a chill when a slight breeze rolls by. I use it by itself more often than I use it as a sleeping bag liner, though I have used it as a liner on backpacking trips in colder and drier climates and it still works well to add a bit of warmth and comfort. Oh, and I haven't gotten malaria or japanese encephalitis yet. Woo!

If you really want a liner for drier and colder climates, use the STS Thermolite Reactor.

I own at least one of every type of liner normally available.
Out of all of them the Coolmax liners are the ones I use almost all of the time. I like it much better than silk.
I live in Texas and I just sleep in the liner about half of the time I camp out which is almost monthly.
I have sold many of my fellow Scout leaders and the Scouts themselves on the Coolmax.
I hope this helps you in your search for a liner.
