Sea To Summit Coolmax Adaptor Insect Shield Sleeping Bag Liner

In the hot, humid, and buggy corners of the globe, get a cool night's rest when you wrap up outside in the Sea To Summit Coolmax Adaptor Sleeping Bag Liner. When you sleep in this liner by itself, the Coolmax material transfers moisture out away from your body and stretches as you dream about the next day’s travels. The Adaptor also works with your sleeping bag to keep it dry and clean when the temperatures dive. And when the insects are diving and buzzing, the odorless Insect Shield treatment repels mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and fleas for scratch-free nights. The invisible repellent remains effective through six months of exposure to weathering or through 25 washings. The lightweight liner comes with an included stuff sack so you can throw it in your backpack without sacrificing food space.

Sleeping bag liner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this after I bought my new bag, Ascent, mainly to keep my new bag from getting dirty. After I read the reviews online this line this line will help protect the investment in a great sleeping bag. I have only used it once so far but works as it's supposed to and also adds a little insulation value, bonus!

Solid product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it while rafting the Grand Canyon in July. I felt that it actively wicked moisture and definitely kept the insect world at bay. Packs small and washes well. I really appreciate the pouch for a pillow. Nice touch.

A Must Have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super comfortable and perfect for the hot summers in Texas. The thin layer is perfect for the heat and humidity. My son used it all week at camp and slept well. The fabric is breathable beyond belief. The shape allows you to sleep in whatever position works for you. Definitely looking into othe liners.

Really works to keep the mosquitos away

This is my third Sea-to-Summit liner. I replaced my old reactor liner with this one (I also have the Reactor Extreme). I use this primarily to keep my sleeping bag clean, and backpack in the humid midwest and south in the summer, so the coolmax was really appealing! I find it makes my bag more comfortable in the summer in damp conditions than the original reactor did. The insect repellent really works too! I was packing up in the Smokies in a mosquito-filled site. On a whim, I wrapped the liner around my shoulders as I packed up my tent and the bugs all left me alone - I'm normally a mosquito magnet, so this was big! The only reason I took one star off is because it only comes in one length. I'm only 5'2" and use a short length sleeping bag. I have a lot of extra fabric that I usually pull up over my head to keep it out of the way, but it does lead to more tangling and weight I wish I wasn't carrying.

Not Impressed

This liner is very difficult to get into and out of. It is almost like pulling a flimsy sack on like a pair of pants. It also bunches up and entangles the user when the user moves. The tent kept the bugs out so I can’t speak to the bug repellant properties. This is just an awkward and challenging thing to use. It is soft and stretchy for what that is worth, but really a pain to use. And WAY overpriced.

Used it on a bikepacking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it on a bikepacking trip to Costa Rica. Worked well. Compact, light and was used as a bag by itself in a hot country.

I used the insect shield

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the insect shield liner while camping in the Zambezi Valley of Zimbabwe during the rainy season. The shape and fabric are very comfortable and soft. Due to the high temps where we camped I slept in the liner only.
