Held up on a cold desert night!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Used this liner for the first time on a trip to Utah when there was still snow on the ground - needless to say I needed it to work out! It kept me warm and toasty. Looking forward to using it as we finish the spring and again when the Fall cools down!

    Great liner!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super packable- about the size of a baseball in its bag. I originally purchased this for travelling and sleeping in hostels but I've been using it for camping and backpacking as well. Doesn't seem to add any warmth but not something I'd expect as it's so light.

Tiny & mighty silk sleeping liner!

I’m super impressed at how small this Silky , tiny, compact, mighty sleeping liner is! I’m super excited to try it outside in colder weather to how it holds up! I’ll write another review once I try it outside!

      Is this real?

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love this liner! Seriously? Silk while camping/backpacking, yes please! SO comfortable and easy to use. Packs down small and super lightweight. I move a lot in my sleep and am a belly sleeper so need freedom of movement, I have never once felt constricted in this so I definitely recommend spending the little extra to get this!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This sleep sack is so easy to slide in and out of. along with the fact that this packs so easily and is super lightweight. And that I have had no bad experiences I would highly recommend it.

      Made my hut trip!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Needed a sleeping bag liner to use bike packing the San Juan Hut to Hut route. This is super light weight, packs up into a tiny pocket and is very comfy. No restriction of movement, no static, not sweaty like a synthetic liner.I also bought the one with the ‘pillow holder’ which was excellent for packing clothes into , to create a pillow. Perfect choice, I’d definitely recommend this liner, worth spending the extra $

      Great Liner!!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was hesitant to get this liner especially for the price!! I sleep hot and during the summer when camping it has become my go to bag.
Now off to Machu Picchu and plan to bring it with me for a tad more warmth in my bag and when I go to the Amazon when I'm unsure of the sleeping conditions.

Great quality, soft and worth the splurge!!

      Great product

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Well made. I really like the stretch elastic sides that allow for expansion when you have to move. I thought it came with a separate pillow case, however, the pillow case is built in to the body of the liner.

      Protects my bag

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really like the idea of having a layer between my grimy self and gear and my expensive sleeping bag. This does the trick and is warm and comfortable.

      Decided not to settle.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So I wasn't really a believed that this would truly make a difference in how warm i would be in my sleeping bag, but OH MY GOSH. I wouldn't go camping without it now. Not only does it keep my nice sleeping bag cleaner after a long day in the dirt, but it also adds an extra layer of heat retention. This liner is great for cold or warm camping, since it's silk, it just adapts to your body temperature. The only thing is, I haven't figured out the best way to wash it yet. But that should just take a little googling!

Tied for Favorite Piece of Gear

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It was between this silk liner and my hiking poles as my favorite piece of gear on the AT. I love being clean and this keeps your dirty nasty hiker body from stinking up your sleeping bag while also serving as a nice cool sheet on warmer nights when your bag is too much. Even when I was sticky from the sweat of the day I didn't think the silk stuck to me too much.

      Comfortable bag protection

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I picked this up mainly to extend the life of my sleeping bag by protecting it from sweat and dirt. It's lightweight, so comfy, and the rectangular version and stretch side panels are great for a side sleeper like me. Plus, if it gets particularly dirty, just throw it in the wash... good as new!

      Greatest Liner Ever

This is by far the best sleeping bag liner that I have ever owned. This liner is warm and comfortable. I've used it alone during summer backpacking trips and it was terrific. Look no further; this is the liner that you need.

        So soft

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I had used one of these before (that I borrowed from a friend) and loved it so much I decided I had to have one! I was surprised how much warmer it kept me at night, and I love how soft and comfortable it is!

        Colorado Trail Liner

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Took this liner on the Colorado Trail to prolong to life of my down sleeping bag. Worked perfectly to add a little warmth every night, as well as keep my sleeping bag clean. I changed clothes once in 24 days and the bag stayed in pristine condition, and the best part was that after one wash the liner was good as new, even with all the abuse it was put through. Super lightweight, and would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to destroy their down bag, add a little warmth, and overall have an excellent as well as lightweight product.

        Makes Me Feel Sophisticated

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I don't think I'll ever be fancy enough for silk sheets, but the sleeping bag liner is an excellent alternative. Super soft and comfy! The stretchy side panels are a great touch–you've got a little more room for getting in and out of the liner, and for rolling around if that's your thing. Besides actually using the sleeping bag liner as a sleeping bag liner, I'll definitely bring it along on non-camping vacations. Highly recommended.

What warmth does this liner add to a sleeping bag? The Reactor Extreme specifically says 25 degrees F..

I've been looking at the Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor Extreme Mummy Bag Liner, and plenty of reviews from users who've field tested it say it doesn't get anywhere near the added "up to 25 degrees F" warmth claimed in the specs. Compared with that product, how much added warmth can we expect from the silk liner? Are we sacrificing comfort for warmth, or is silk a win-win, with the caveat that it's more expensive?

        Hey Ryan,

Silk is going to be the the comfiest, warmest, lightest liner our there, but it is going to be more expensive. I'd say go for it!
