- Q & A
stiff, light, and all BOA
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Once you go Boa you can’t go back. It’s super fast and easy to put on, adjust, and remove your shoes. And with the Boa system they stay tight. Now I don’t want to use anything else. These shoes are VERY stiff and you will notice especially if you’re coming from a less stiff shoe as I was. The power transfer is excellent but the stiffness might take some getting used to. On my first ride they were comfy until around mile 40 and then my dogs start barking. Loosening the shoes helped a lot. After a couple more rides I didn’t have any soreness. Maybe my feet just needed to HTFU. The shoes are minimalist and very light. Inside on the trainer my feet get a little warm but on the bike they’re well-vented and cool even in the extremely hot and humid weather of SW Florida. I bought these during a TDF sale for $150 and at that price they are an absolute steal. I would pay much more for them. I bought a size 42 and wear an 8 ½ or a 9 in all my shoes.
