Ski poles aren't always necessary when you're in the terrain park, but they're nice to have when you're jibbing the jehosaphat out of natural features, sending threes off cliffs, and getting lost in bottomless pow. On days like these you'll be glad you brought your Scott 540 Ski Poles—their stout aluminum shafts don't break easily and their cone tips jab everything from the icy conditions in the park to fluffy pow in the trees.

Scott 540 Ski Poles
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Broke my poles close to the end of the season and needed a cheap pair to get my through the remainder of the season. These poles were cheap so I went with them. They're actually much better quality then expected. Super light and durable. Also come in lot's of fun colors. I can always spot by bright pink poles even when there's a ton of powder covering them!

These poles are sturdy, inexpensive, and feel great! The grips are super comfy even on bare hands, and the straps are really easy to adjust. I only wish they included powder baskets, but hey, at this price I can't complain!

Scott 540 Strong and Affordable
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Scott poles have a long history in the ski industry. Built to be strong light and affordable. Others try but cannot compete. Aluminum ferrules, engineered baskets and swaged (thickening pole wall through the taper) all make Scott poles the best on the market.

Budget backup pole
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Bought a pair of these at the resort when I broke my old poles. Bent one of them on my very next crash and picked up a second, backup pair. These are a good budget pole. For hard chargers, you might need to find something a little stronger to keep up with you
