Why We Like The SCOTT 540 Pro Ski Poles

Whether we're running hot laps down the mountain or practicing perfect turns, the SCOTT 540 Pro Ski Poles keep us charging. The lightweight S2 aluminum shaft is incredibly durable, giving us the power and control we're looking for as we dance our way back to the lift. The P-Lite grip is comfortable in our hands, and the wrist strap makes sure we never lose a pole, even if we lose an edge and take a spill. The poles are capped with a steel tip and 55mm alpine basket that thrive on piste, so we can ride all over the resort with confidence.

Bent the first time it was used

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Size Bought:
52in

Bought as a gift for my fiance. He used it once for inbounds resort skiing at Big Sky and one of the poles bent on the first day. So we absolutely do not recommend for durability and quality (his prior poles lasted a decade). Emailed Backcountry warranty to let them know, and they said that aluminum poles bend easily (as if this is a well-known issue) and for this reason, it's not covered. The item description doesn't indicate any of this so want to help others avoid wasting $45 and a few weeks of frustration.
