    Frequency Trout Fly Line

Whether you're hiking into remote creeks with the dream of bringing wild browns to hand or lobbing heavy nymph rigs around well-fished rivers, Scientific Anglers' Frequency Trout Fly Line is designed to be your go-to line when it comes to trout fishing. Falling at about half the price of most lines on the market, the Frequency Trout Line was developed for dedicated trout bums who would rather spend cash on fuel and flies for the next big fly fishing trip. Scientific Anglers gave this well-rounded line a mid-length head, complete with a gradual taper that will lay delicate dry fly patterns out with precision, but still turn a tandem nymph rig with ease. A braided multifilament core ensures this line withstands long days on the river and lake, while the Advanced Shooting Technology helps keep the line casting smoothly day after day.

    Good fly line.

    Familiarity:
    I've used it several times

Good, no frills line. It floats and casts well. The color is nice too.

    Great value

    Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got a 3wt to throw on an old cortland reel as well as an extra 5wt line for backups on multiday trips. A backup line for the group is really important, I have been on trips where a line breaks for one reason or another. Trolling motors are particularly destructive. While this doesn't cast quite as nicely as the more expensive lines it is definitely pleasant to cast, and is great considering the cost.
