Great All Rounder

This tire is offered in a wide array of casing compounds from lightweight xc oriented casing to a DH ready casing. The tire was redesigned to allow better mud clearance and also for more grip for braking and cornering. I have been quite impressed with how well it hooks up in the corners and how much traction it offers up while braking. One big thing in the past with Schwable has been their tires life spans being quite short. With the newer tires I am finding them to hold up much better even in the soft compound. I haven't had any issues with flats with this tire either here in Utah. Overall been very happy with how much confidence this tire provides on the corners and when braking down steep sections.

Beware of Backcountry Shipping Policy!

I paid a significant amount (16.99) for "2-day Air Shipping" only to be sure to receive this product in time to make a bike trip. Ordered it on Sunday morning, received it Wednesday at 4:59pm, no kidding. I contacted Backcountry and I was blown-off. That's pretty slimy business. BTW, the tire is awesome but buy it somewhere else.
