    For a peaceful approach.

Your climbing partner might be complaining about the approach, but you couldn't feel more peaceful thanks to the Scarpa Women's Zen Pro Shoe. This light shoe sports a sturdy suede upper with air mesh inserts for ventilated airflow. Scarpa lined the upper in odor-resistant, moisture-managing Cocona for even more comfort. Underfoot, the Zen Pro features a P-Flex footbed that promotes natural movements, while the injected EVA midsole offers long-lasting support for technical terrain. Vibram's Spyder 2 sole sticks to trails without picking up pebbles along the way.

These shoes offer so much versatility- the low cut offers the feel of a lighter shoe without losing any sturdiness through the sole. I took them up Grand Teton this summer so they saw it all- backpacking, hiking, and some scrambling and down climbing- and were awesome through it all. They are not vented or very breathable, so summer hikes can be hot, but I'm looking forward to warm feet in cooler weather this fall!

      The Best of Both Worlds

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I recently purchased these shoes for an alpine climb with a long approach and some 4th class scrambling and they fit the bill perfectly. As hiking shoes, they were comfortable and supportive. As climbing shoes, they were lightweight and grippy. They performed very well on all kinds of terrain (and they even fit with my crampons for a short stretch!). Would definitely recommend!

      Best hiker ever

This literally is the best hiking shoe I have ever owned. Brand new, hiked 8 hours a day in Patagonia, across flat terrain, tons of rocks, scree, bouldering up and down steep terrain. Not once did this shoe disappoint. No blisters, no pinching, full comfort down and up inclines. I normally wear an 8.5 US and purchased 40.5 in Scarpa and it fit perfectly.

      The Slipper FITS!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

I tried the Adidas AX2. Too much volume, not enough support for day HIKES vs day walks. Asolos too voluminous. Salewas not quite right. The SCARPA ZENs are PERFECT in every way for my very average size 10 (I wear a 41N in Birkenstocks, 10 in Chaco, 41.5 in Scarpa and La Sportiva, for reference). Narrow enough in the heels, awesome room in the toe box and across the balls of my feet (wow! so good!). Love the suede with the rubber rand and they PERFORM. Took 'em up to 12k feet yesterday and my feet are happy! Whew! Not cheap but worth every penny.
