Mont Blanc Pro GTX Mountaineering Boot

The most classic and iconic ascents in mountaineering require a pair of boots that will handle everything that snow fields, vertical ice, and rock throw their way. Taking its classic alpine boot and incorporating a few modern innovations, the Scarpa Women's Mont Blanc Pro GTX Mountaineering Boot delivers everything you need to make your next adventure into the alpine a success.

For added security, the boots are fitted with integrated gaiters with a double-snap closure. The boots themselves features micro-pulley hardware for an easily achieved secure fit. The upper is composed of a 3mm suede Perwanger along with S-Tech fabric. Backed by a Gore-Tex insulated Comfort membrane, the boots are completely waterproof. The stiff Total Traction midsole provides the solid platform needed when working up mixed routes, while the Vibram sole is both automatic and semi-automatic crampon compatible. The boots utilize Scarpa's Sock-Fit DV construction, which provides stretch-mesh Schoeller softshell fabric in the tongue, PU ribbing, and decreased instep volume, resulting in a nimble feel that disperses lace pressure across the tongue for fit that will remain comfortable from sunup to sundown.

  • Scarpa's most versatile alpine boot for snow, ice, and mixed climbs
  • Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort is waterproof, breathable, and warm
  • Suede Perwanger leather upper with integrated gaiter for durability
  • Sock-Fit designed to keep close to your skin
  • Pro-Fiber XT20 insole balances heavyweight support with comfy cush
  • Vibram rubber sole with automatic crampon compatibility

My feet are still dry

I've put it through the wringer

I've had these boots for about a year and a half, and they are my go-to boot in winter and early spring conditions. The amount of insulation is fine for my needs (I probably have moderate tolerance in cold conditions)--my feet do get cold when they're not moving, but it's not unbearable. Often times in wet conditions, I have the driest feet amongst my group unless snow or water actually gets into the boot from the top. That being said, the built-in gaiter is helpful. If you have thick calves/ankles, you may have trouble getting the gaiter closed, but these seem to have stretched with time. Also, the front of the gaiter used to push into the front of my ankles when bent--pretty painful--but this doesn't happen anymore. Scarpas fit me well across the board. I wear a womens 5 in sandals and dress shoes, and 37.5 is my Scarpa mountaineering boot size. I predict these will last me at least a few more years, after which I would definitely get another pair of Mont Blancs.

Great Boot!

I've used it several times

I got these boots for ice climbing this year and they are awesome! They fit my foot really good! I have a pretty narrow foot and felt like these shoes were able to since down and hold my foot in place the best. I usually wear a size 6.5/7.0 in shoes and got a size 37.0 and they fit great and perform great with crampons on the ice and snow!

Been wanting these for a long time so finally snatched them up on sale! I took them out first time on a climb in the CA Sierra's to a near 13er by Mt Whitney. 12 miles, route approach over boulders, 5,000 ft gain, with 1,800 of it up a steep chute full of scree (snow still not quite there yet). These boots were perfect...Until coming back down the trail portion the last couple miles. Toes were getting banged. No hot spots or blisters, felt very snug comfortably around my heels and ankles. I have a size 8 in Lowas, La Sportivas, and the newer Arcteryx hiking boots and they never toe bang. I went with a 40 in Scarpa (roughly 8.5) and they are too small. Returning for a size 41. Love everything about them so far, just need the right size. I will review again after I get the size up.

Hello! Will you be getting more sizes in stock? (41.5???)
