Arpia Climbing Shoe

The Arpia Climbing Shoe is Scarpa's next step for beginner climbers who need something slightly more aggressive than the shoes they learned to climb in. It has a moderate downturn that offers a bit more performance without inhibiting overall comfort. The microsuede upper stretches a half-size or so to customize your foot's shape. The Arpia is soft and sensitive to boost performance on smaller footholds, and the Vibram XS Grip rubber sole grips overhung and vertial footholds with ease.
  • The next step from beginner climbing shoes for sport or bouldering
  • Moderately downturned last balances comfort with performance
  • Microsuede leather upper stretches to conform to foot shape
  • Soft, sensitive midsole ensures precision on smaller footholds

Love these!!

These are great shoes! I love how small they are because I have pretty skinny feet which make finding climbing shoes that fit a challenge. I have worn these for a couple months now indoor and outdoors and they're still great!. Not too aggressive but in the middle.

Perfect intermediate shoe

I've used it several times

This shoe is a great intermediate shoe. I needed to upgrade from my beginner shoe but all the aggressive shoes I tried were too aggressive for my comfort level. When I tried these I loved them. They have a softer flex and a less aggressive toe curve but hook non the less. Climbing in these shoes compared to my beginner pair I found that I was able to grip better toe holds and increase my performance. If you are looking for your first aggressive shoes these shoes are it. They are perfect for the beginner-intermediate climber looking to advance. Sizing I am a size 7 street shoe and I sized up and got 39.5. The women's version is low profile and tighter in the heel. If you have wider feet I would suggest instead of sizing more up, switch to the men's/unisex version since they have a higher toe box and looser heel.

A Great Upgrade

I've used it several times

These shoes are a great next step, or intermediate shoe. The moderate arch is perfect for a variety of climbs and is comfortable on the foot. The Vibram XS grip on the toe provides an incredible amount of traction for even the tiniest of footholds, plus the velcro makes it super easy to slip them off between climbs.

Best moderate shoe ever!

I've used it several times

I recently got these shoes since I did not have a moderate pair of shoes! I absolutely love them! I have been climbing indoors a couple times as well as outside with them, they are sticky, durable and super comfortable. Very limited break in period which is amazing. I love the stretchy upper material and the velcro. I wear a street size 6 shoe and got a 36.5 in these! They are the perfect fit! I definitely recommend them as a multi pitch shoe, a beginner shoe as well as a good next step to a neutral pair!

Very comfortable

I've used it several times

I'm a novice climber and have just used these bouldering and overall they are a really comfortable shoe and much easier to break in than other shoes that I've tried. They do run really small so I would suggest sizing up, depending on the fit you are looking for.

Climbing Luxury

I've put it through the wringer

These are great shoes for me! I often have left over room in the heel cup, but these are a little more narrow and shallow than the ones I have issues with. I love the easy on and off, laces are nice for customized fit, but I'm lazy and love the velcro and slip-ons. They are not too aggressive, but have a slightly down turned toe which is nice for overhung climbs and bouldering. They are soft on the inside which always makes me happy and super stylish as well. The rubber on the toe is thicker than I'm used to, but isn't a bad thing, just something I have to get used to.
