Whether you're snowboarding or running through frozen city streets, the Blacksheep will help you stay comfortable and cozy in the cold.

Great Boxers With One Caveat

These are great boxers and the wool/fit is very comfortable. I would highly recommend them for every day or medium exertion . However, I would not recommend them for high endurance activities that generate a lot of sweat, as they hold water and will become extremely heavy and saturated. Merino wool may be good for pulling water off the body and remediation of odors, but it holds onto the moisture and you end up with a super saturated pair of drawers. I generally run in Exofficio give-n-go boxers, which work great. When I ran in the Saxx, I felt like I had a wet wash rag around my waist afterwards. The same would apply for wet wading if you are doing summer water sports.

These are by far some of the most comfortable boxer briefs I've ever worn. I've tried ex-officios, smartwool, and other merino brands and these definitely take the cake. Unlike most brands, these boxer-briefs really are 100% merino wool, and the difference can be crucial. Some brands often save money on materials by not using merino in different areas of their underwear, but these do not skimp on the merino at all. These have officially become my new favorite underwear and I will be buying several pairs to use religiously over the next couple of years.

I can't get my husband out of these

By far his favorite underwear ever made for some reasons I can't personally speak to. However, you can never go wrong with wool undies, like most of these post say, for the quick drying anti-microbial factors alone, oh and it's super comfortable! If you haven't tried these for yourself, it's time to give them a try!

I thought the Quest 2.0 was my favorite Saxx line, until I tried these. The merino wool is amazingly comfortable, in all weather conditions. Definitely satisifed! I found them to be true to size.

Great Breathability & Moisture Wicking

These have been on my boyfriends wishlist for awhile, and I finally purchased them for him- he's obsessed. I thought a merino wool boxer would be really warm, because wool...but I guess the merino is more for moisture wicking and breathability. He has been wearing these in 90-100 degrees this summer, and they stay feeling "fresh" throughout the day. He has quite a few of the Platinum Saxx's, and these have a slightly wider waistband which he actually found he likes. Also, while the Platinum boxer stretches a little bit throughout the day, the Merino consistently held it's shape. Definitely recommend!

Favorite in terms of fit and function

Familiarity:

Gave these to this guy I know: 5’10” and 175 lbs. He said this: Medium. Love these underwear - probably my favorite in terms of fit and function, and I think I’ve tried just about every brand of merino boxer briefs out there. The merino feels substantial but not too heavy, can certainly be worn during warm weather pursuits.

I got these for my boyfriend but have feedback to share. He loves how soft and well structured these briefs are. They can take a good amount of abuse without smelling or feeling dirty. He hasn't experienced any stretching along the thigh the way that other wool briefs can get, and he has not said anything about them being too hot.

Perfect

Familiarity:

As a Saxx fan, I have heard some questionable things about the Wool variant. A previous review cited poor fit and I also heard of durability issues. I have had these for over 6 months and do not have any complaints. They are comfortable, wick moisture well and have not shown any signs of wear. They are slightly thicker than some of the other pairs of Saxx I have but it does not prevent me from wearing them on the hottest days.

Was looking for some wool to keep my butt dry when riding my motorcycle. The fit is too loose and the leg length was shorter than I expected. Might try some wool riding shorts next like the ones from Ibex.
