To go the distance, no matter the weather, we lace into the Saucony Peregrine 13 GTX Trail Running Shoe. Equipped with GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT technology, this pair keeps our feet dry under rainy skies and through water crossings without the stiff, crinkly feeling we think of with weatherproofing. Instead, we get that breezy, flexible feel of mesh, while the light and lively midsole springs us into quick transitions, and the tacky rubber lugs bite into dry and wet terrain alike.

Size up
So far so good - I just got these and like how they feel, but important to mention that I have always been a size 12 but went with a 12.5 and they are just big enough. Could have gone with size 13. So go up at least half a size.

It works
Solid pair of sneakers. Feels sturdy. I like the goretex it feels like adds more support. Am a 12 and length is true to size. Heel rides a bit low on my foot for some reason so when going up hill feels like heel coming out of shoe. Not sure I would buy again for this reason but otherwise a smart shoe. Was a good price for last year's model.

What have you done to the outer sole?
I have owned countless number of peregrines, these are average shoes with below average wet traction. Looking for new shoes to section hike the Whites.

Comfortable Walking Shoe
Very comfortable shoe. The only negative is that the material used for around your ankle/heel wore through after a couple of weeks of walking four miles every day.

Good solid trail runners
These have been my go to trail runners for years now. This model seems to have improved the eyelet style from the Peregrine 12 which is good because I had a problem with the earlier model where the eyelets pulled loose. I prefer the Gortex year round, even in hot climates, not only for the water proofing but because they seem to hold up better.

Wanted to like them
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Unfortunately they aren’t true to size, (I know my size in their running shoes and also in other brands). Not sure if I went up a half size if that would fix it or not, but because returns cost shipping I’m returning and will go to a store I can try on. I wore them around the house for a little bit just to see. Based on the Brooks and other brands I’ve had, I think even if they did fit I’d go in a different direction.

Snug and not that comfy
Have been running Kinvaraa for a while size 12.5, my wife got me these in a 12.5 and they are snug and not the most comfortable shoe. Probably heading back to Altras for trail shoes.

Solid
These shoes are good for 2-10 mile runs. I got hotspots wearing them on a 16 miler — it was mostly gravel and road however… They are well made and have awesome traction. They are not nearly as padded as a plush road trainer. But they hook up nicely on the road still, and definitely on trail. They are soft on the inside and lace up well. They are a very good shoe. They are little and efficient. They do not feel wallowy. I would buy again
