Highball CC X0 Eagle Transmission Reserve Mountain Bike

When efficiency and speed are at the top of the list, the Santa Cruz Highball and its simplistic hardtail design is our go-to steed. The Highball is an efficient cross-country race hardtail with 29-inch wheels, a super lightweight frame, and race-bred geometry to leave the competition in the dust. Dual 29-inch wheels roll over trail obstacles and carry our speed efficiently, while the rigid rear end is lightning-fast up climbs and makes for a nimble and lightweight ride. The seat stays are offset to the top tube to eliminate vibration and energy transfer through the rear end to the rider, giving us more capability in technical terrain and at high speeds. With a 67-degree headtube angle, we are perfectly balanced to excel on downhills while still being efficient and quick on flatter ground, and a 73.5-degree seat tube angle ensures an efficient climbing position. The Highball is finished off with downtube and chainstay protection, three water mounts in the front triangle, and sleek and silent internally-guided cable routing.

The X0 Transmission AXS Reserve build of the Santa Cruz Highball is top-tier and kitted out with electronic shifting, carbon wheels, and new suspension tech. Santa Cruz's premium Carbon CC frame offers us the stiffest and lightest platform possible for remarkable handling and performance. Next, we have SRAM's X0 Transmission AXS drivetrain, which gives us flawless electronic shifting for performance when the race is on the line. Reserve's 28 XC rims fitted with Industry Nine 1/1 hubs are ready to race, stiffen up handling, and reduce vibrations, and they have fast engagement for quick power to the pedals. The RockShox SID SL Ultimate, 100mm fork, is super lightweight and has a remote lockout through SRAM's TwistLoc Ultimate grips, so we can change our compression without taking our hands off the bars. SRAM's new Level Silver Stealth 2-piston brakes are lightweight and throw down loads of stopping power. Premium Maxxis Rekon Race tires roll efficiently, are supple, and still provide the grip we need to cross the finish line.
