Not purple at all, but really nice!

The color "anthracite" is not at all purple as shown in the picture. It is a lovely dark metallic grey (same color as shown for the SAM freestyle jacket color "anthracite"). I have not worn the vest in cold conditions, but it feels very warm and is much thicker and puffier than my other down vests. I am normally a size S, but ordered the M, which is the same size I have in the freestyle jacket. It fits pretty well but the vest does not run as small as the jacket (probably because the tight shoulder issue is eliminated when there are no sleeves). I had some gaping in the arm holes/chest area. The S (if available) probably would fit me a bit better; however, the M will be great for laying over a hoodie. The collar on this vest is amazing. So soft and pillowy and cozy. It's like walking around with one of those airline pillows around your neck (in a good way, not in an oppressive way). Overall very nice product... just beware of the completely inaccurate color shown above.

I wanted a vest to throw on over my hoodie on the walk to barre and yoga, but still be warm and protected from rain. Even when the wind is blowing like mad, this vest keeps me completely warm. I have worn it with leggings, jeans, and even a long tight turtleneck dress beneath. So versatile, and you can't beat the price.
