Not waterproof!
Wore these hiking in rain in Glacier. My feet were soaked. There must have been 2 Tbsp of water sloshing around my feet. I have been wearing xa pro for years and have many pairs. But the waterproof ones are not waterproof.

Great Replacement for my old Salomon's
Four years ago I purchased a pair of Salomon Gore-tex trail hikers, when I had my right hip replace. I wanted shoes I could slip on and off. I LOVED my old shoes and wore them so much that they were finally starting to wear out. Salomon wasn't making them anymore, so I took a chance on the XA PRO 3D V9 GORE-TEX. I LOVE them. I had my left hip replaced June 19, so I was hoping for the same convenience as the old shoes. These are great and I like them better overall than my older ones.

Heel box
This hiking shoe has a very stiff heel box that works well for me. I have foot issues and the solidness of the heel box in this particular shoe allows me to have a more natural gait. This is my 4th pair.

Great shoe
This is my 3rd pair of this style Salomon. I find them really comfortable to walk and run in. I would say that I made the mistake of taking them for a 5k without wearing them in and got blistered but that was my mistake.
