Very Sturdy Shoe for their Weight but...

My second attempt at buying a Salomon hiking shoe as I heard they are very good. First one was the Outline GTX, I typically wear a 12 but that 12 was too short. Knowing they run a tad small I ordered the XA Pro 3D in 12.5. These shoes are very sturdy for how light they are but the reason I have to return them is a spot on the side of the shoe that almost immediately caused pain on the outside edge of both feet. Walked inside my home for a few minutes and had to take them off. Tried them again the next day and same thing. Bummed they did not work for me. But they seem like great shoes and I appreciate Salomon's fair return policy!

I have worn an older Salomon style but very similar, with the same lacing system. After reading the reviews I was a little worried that the toe box would be to tight so I either have a narrower foot that I thought or i got one that’s a little wider, the fit was perfect right out of the box, so far so good I only do trail hiking not running, I am very happy with these shoe and as always shipping was fast and accurate.
